Ferrum
We stood still.
Waiting.
He circled us for a minute or so, taking in every inch of our figure. Tingles started at my wolf's ears and exploded cross her entire body.
Suddenly, we felt a cold wet nose press against the right side of our face. He inhaled. Deeply. Savoring the smell that drifted off my wolf's coat. His nose moved to her ear as he let the breath go. My wolf shook her head slightly but other than that she remained still.
The virile shifted his skull downward toward our neck. Right where his mark should be. Through her thick fur my wolf could feel his canines scrape against her. And that thrilled her. She leaned closer but the black male moved along the rest of our body. Sniffing. Inspecting every inch of what we had to offer.
Skimming our underbelly with his muzzle he nuzzled his head in between my wolf's back legs. She raised her left to allow him better access to her back end.
'Put the leg down.' I growled, I wasn't liking the way my wolf weakened in his presence.
'Fine.' She said, she seemed all to happy to follow through with the command.
That's when she put her leg down, turned and stuck her tail straight into the air. Allowing her mate full access now. I heard a pleased growl come from behind us and then he continued on with his business.
Satisfied in finding no traces of other males being around us the other lupine stepped toward our front and gently nipped at an ear.
Humming with contentment my wolf unfroze and began rubbing herself against the slightly taller wolf. Once finished she stuck her nose to his rough and thick fur, with the knowledge of her aroma protruding from him she began her bodily search.
Aiden
My mate was bold.
That was something I quickly noted. She wasn't afraid to show herself off... to parade around and strut her stuff.
When my wolf was content with his investigation on her she quickly took over. Sniffing anywhere she wanted, touching wherever she wanted. She even showed her neck... right where she would bear our mark. But then she growled, seeming at war with her human side.
If that was so then my wolf and I would refrain from biting her. Although that was the last thing he wanted to do. Immediately after she concluded her exploration of our build we repeated what she had done pryor. Rubbing our earthy smell into her honeyed one.
We sniffed, happy with how she now smelt.
Once a mated pair found each other it was a quick process. Find one another, mark each other... seal the deal with an intimate night together. Since her human side didn't seem to want that her wolf settled for a game of chase again.
But it was more of a test. A test to see if we were fit to bear her mark.
We granted her time to run, hide, cover her scent. To do any and everything she could to throw us off her trail, to bid us unfit for her.
It wasn't going to happen. My beast had her fragrance stuck in his mind, engraved in it. He thought out everything she could do, listened to the sound of her receding footfalls, what direction she went in while his eyes were sealed shut. Ears perked.
Finally, he had had enough of waiting. Reaching deep within himself my wolf felt a rumble growing in his chest. Then, a loud and echoing howl sounded from him. Signaling the start of his hunt.
