The large sturdy wooden doors shut behind me as I made my way to the kitchen. To my luck, my father was nowhere to be found when I arrived.
I grabbed some goldfish from the pantry and quickly made my way upstairs before anyone could stop me.
"What to watch...?" I mumbled to myself. I threw my bag on my bed and jumped over the back of my couch. And then settled down in the seat, ready to snack my heart out.
"How about...how to confront your father about your long lost sibling 101?" Plagg suggested as he sat down beside me with his own snack of cheese.
"Harhar, very funny Plagg," I rolled my eyes and flicked through the channels with my feet propped up on the coffee table.
"I'm serious Adrien, you need to confront him about it sooner than later. You're about to move out and you won't see him as much," Plagg reminded me. "Plus, you deserve to get it off your chest," He added and I looked down at him and he swatted at my face. "Don't give me that look!"
"What look?" I raised an eyebrow as I backed away.
"You know what look! The look that shows you know I care!" He screamed and floated up with his ears back.
"Aww..." I stuck out my bottom lip. "You care?"
"Shut up!!!" Plagg stormed off in a fit of embarrassment and rage. If he could blush I knew he would be doing it right about then.
"I care about you too buddy!" I belt out after him, to no response. With a short chuckle to myself, I found the right channel and decided to eat my feelings for a hot minute.
On the bright side at least I was in a relationship.
An hour or two passed by and I decided that is was time for me to confront my father. Plagg was right. I needed to do it for me, not him. It was me who deserved to know the truth.
With a sigh, I hoisted myself and walked out of my room and down the cold steps. I looked up at the photo of my father and I and I couldn't help but wonder if my mother even knew that my father had a whole other child.
"Adrien," Nathalie greeted me with a small smile.
"Where's my father?" I cut straight to the point.
"He's in his office," She informed me, looking up from her tablet.
I nodded and made my way to his office. Nathalie clicked from behind me and even opened the door.
"Adrien," Father greeted from his podium, the picture of my mother framing his lean body.
"Father, I want you to be truthful with me," I stated and I notice his posture slacken a little as he blinked.
"Of course Adrien," He nodded for me to go on, but his glance went to Nathalie who was stood beside me.
"Do I have a half-sister?" The question came out of my mouth and I heard Nathalie audibly gasp.
