Cold.

That was the only word that came to my mind when I regained consciousness.

When I opened my eyes the picture before me was dark and it smelled like a basement. I tried to move my limbs but I found them tied down with rope to the chilly metal chair that I was trapped in.

"You're awake," Hawkmoth walked into the room, his cane over his shoulder showing he was capable of walking alone.

"Why am I here?" Was the first thing that came to mind. I didn't want to let him know I knew who he was.

"Noroo, dark wings fall," He said calmly and in a quick flash of purple my father stood, his blue eyes painted clearly by the dim light. I stayed silent, not giving a reaction. "I know you already know Adrien, I'm not foolish. And I know you're Chat Noir. I've suspected it for a long time now," He revealed with a sigh, breaking his eye contact from me.

It was then I noticed the missing silver ring on my finger.

"Where is it?" I asked, suddenly worrying about Plagg since he had to still be floating around because I wasn't the one to take my ring off.

"Your ring? Ready to be given back to you if you help me,"

"Help you?" I almost laughed. "Why would I help you?"

"Adrien did you never once wonder why I'm doing what I'm doing? You should know I must have a motive..." He strutted closer, his hands tucked behind his back. Of course I pondered what his motive was. He had everything. Money, Fame, he seemed content with his life. What else could he want?

"What's your amazing motive?" I rolled my eyes.

"The only reason I'm doing this is for your mother!" He yelled, suddenly getting riled up as his hackles raised.

My green eyes went wide at his words.

"M-mother?" I stuttered out. "Wh-what do you mean?"

"I'm sorry I haven't been the best father to you Adrien, I never meant anything by it. I know you're angry with me about Vivian but you have to understand I was only protecting you. And ever since you confronted me about it, I realized you deserve to know the truth that I've protected you from for years. The truth about your mother," Father bent down with a knife and easily sawed the rope from my ankles and wrists and I rubbed the agitated skin.

I looked up at him hesitantly, not exactly sure how to feel. With the mention of my mother all of my anger seemed to have subsided. He beckoned with his hand for me to follow him and I did so because I wanted to know what he meant.

We left the dark room and he led me down a hallway before he opened up a door. The door lead us into a giant circular room and I surveyed my surroundings. A giant butterfly like symbol was straight ahead, embossed on the wall. A long elevated pathway lead to another platform in the middle, but I couldn't see what it held. The walls were tall and made of stone, but you could see the age tearing at the stone from the small chipped cracks and the long green vines.
