I let out a long yawn as I walked into my father's company building. With the akuma attack, I didn't get much sleep before I had to wake up. Hopefully, the energy shot I had taken earlier would speed up and hit my systems so I didn't act sluggish around my father. I didn't need him nosing into my business and asking questions.

After a silent but enjoyable ride up the elevator, I made my way to the third door on the right. At the same time, Marinette was on her way out seeming a bit flustered.

"Hey Marinette," I greeted with the best smile I could muster.

"Oh, hey Adrien," She smiled back softly. "Did you forget your hairbrush...?" Marinette looked up at my hair and I realized I had forgotten to brush my hair that morning.

"Oh, shit I completely spaced. I wasn't able to get much sleep last night,"

Marinette let out a giggle.

"I think it looks nice messy." She commented "I mean...It changes up your look!"

My cheeks heated a little over her compliment.

"Haha, thanks,"

"Well, I've got to go help my parents with something so uh-see you later?"

"Yeah yeah," I scratched the back of my head and scooted out of the way for the raven haired girl to pass by me. After she was gone I made my way into my father's office. He was on his computer as usual.

"Adrien," I was greeted with his normal monotone voice as he looked up from the bright screen before him.

"You wanted to meet with me father?" I closed the door quietly.

"Yes, take a seat," He gestured a long arm to the seat in front of his desk and I took a seat. "Because your about to take over my company in January I've decided to reduce the amount of photo shoots to once a week instead of four,"

"Nice! I mean er-that's good to here...?" I coughed out, hoping he'd ignore my slip up. To my luck for once, he did.

"Yes, I also wanted to inform you that it'd be preferable if you started coming to the office every week day at least by eight so that I can show you a few last minute duties. And perhaps we could grab breakfast beforehand," My father gave me a smile. A small, forced smile, but a smile nonetheless.

"I'd love that father,"

"Great, now let me show you around my office since it will soon be yours by the twenty ninth of January," He stood up from his chair and I did the same.

By the time the clock struck ten, he had briefed me on every important item in his office. I wasn't even sure what there was left to learn.

I left the office at about ten thirty and met Nino at the local mall. We had plans to go last minute Christmas shopping.
