After a serious talk with my parents the night before, we came to an agreement that anytime I don't stay at the bakery that I have to contact about where I am staying and why I want to stay over there. I thought that they why was a bit much but I am bot going to argue with them.
I woke up at 6:00am to start getting ready for work because I was going into the office today. I have a usual routine that I follow every morning before going into the office, wake up at 6, get my personal hygiene done, dress in business casual clothing, say goodbye to my parents and head to the office by 7 since work starts at 7:15.
When I got to the office building I went to the top floor where my office was, I share an office with Adrien. Adrien is learning to run the business management while I run the designing portion of the company. Gabriel has been teaching us how to take over the company together since he apparently wants to retire soon.
I find that strange especially for a cold man, but I have to think positive that he is changing for both of his kids. I'm still hoping he comes clean to Adrien today because if not then I will have to tell him and I don't think I am ready for that.
I was on my way to Mr. Agreste office when Nathalie starts to walk with me. Once we get into his office I could feel the tension in the air, I knew something was wrong.
"Ms.Cheng, I need you to watch my daughter for the remainder of the day."
"I have work to do and why can't you ask Adrien?"
"I haven't talked to him yet and this is not how I want him to find out so will you please watch her? You have these natural mother instincts from that other girl you were talking about with me yesterday."
"Yes I will help you, but because I can't imagine how lonely she is when you two are never around."
Mr. Agreste sighs as if he knows he's in trouble and he should. I realize I am being an elected nanny and I can't get out of it.
"What is her name?"
For the first time in this entire conversation Nathalie speaks.
"Vivian Sancouer-Agreste, she is 8 years old and she is sick today and I can't be home to care for, will you do it please?"
My heart sank into my chest, this is the same girl that was crying yesterday and these were her damn parents. I thought I was fixing to murder one if not both of them in the spot.
"Yes I will do it and for the record we already know each other, I know where she lives and goes to school because she is the same girl from yesterday."
Both of them were silent and looked at me with fear in their eyes.
"Relax I want to keep a close eye on her she is already attached to me and knows who I am, I will tell her that we have already met and I will see you both tomorrow."
