"Come on, we've got a big project that we need to finish and you haven't been helping!" Brooke dragged Jean towards a shop that they've gone to many times for studying. It was owned by a close friend of theirs family, and he always gave them a discount.

"I've been kind of busy trying not to die," Jean replied struggling against the girl's hold. "Besides, I need to get home because my father's going to be talking to the Einzbern's tonight about a truce!" She tugged harder, making the brown-haired girl's grip slip. Jean moved her bag over her shoulder more before she began walking back home. Brooke frowned before grabbing onto her arm pulling her even harder this time.

"I don't care! Seri and I are the only ones who have been working on it! The last thing we want to do is tell the teacher that you didn't participate!"

"You wouldn't dare," Jean stopped struggling to look at her friend in the eyes.

Brooke turned to her and stopped pulling, "You really want to test that?" Jean slouched slightly and finally let her friend pull her along, Seri smiled at the scene before following her friends to the shop.

The trio of girls walked into the cafe, soon seeing their friend behind the counter while helping a customer. He waved towards them slightly before going back to the customer. The man was a year older than them and had graduated the year before, he had black shaggy hair with blue eyes. His family had moved there from America not too long before, and he was the only one in the friend group that didn't know a thing about magic. When he was done with the customer, he walked over to the booth that the girls typically sat at. "The usual I presume?" He asked leaning against the black polished wood booth.

"Yup! Thanks Chase!" Brooke answered smiling.

"No problem. I take it you three have a project you need to take care of?" He said trying to keep a conversation going.

"Yeah, it's a tough one too, we are supposed to find a historical or mythical person that we all like and do research on them. But, we haven't exactly found a person yet..." Brooke trailed off near the end giving a nervous smile towards Jean.

"'Seri and I have been the only ones working on it'?" Jean asked her annoyance rising as she realised that they hadn't even done the first part of the project.

"We couldn't decide!" Brooke responded trying to tone down the red-haired girl's slight anger towards them.

"I'm gonna go get your orders. Try not to kill them, okay?" Chase looked towards Jean with a smile as he started to walk away.

"No promises," she replied, opening her phone to look up historical people. "Did you two at least narrow it down?"

"Nope."

"You're hopeless."

The girls worked until it started getting dark, meaning that Jean had to go meet up with her father at the Zenjou's to see Rin. "Thanks Chase!" She waved him goodbye before walking out of the cafe. Jean moved her jacket closer as she started to walk down the streets of Fuyuki, it started getting colder as winter started coming. Which meant that she needed to get her heavier jackets out as well as her leggings.

"So...Einzbern's, huh?"

"Yeah, my dad thinks it'll be good for us to have a small truce with them until the war is over. In order to keep the Grail between the families who started the war."

"Then why not bring Kariya in on it?" Allura asked.

"They don't quite see eye to eye," Jean answered, picking up pace slightly as the sun started to go down. Soon she made it to the Zenjou's, her dad's car wasn't too far away from the building. He stood outside, talking with Aoi when Jean came up. Her mother turned and hugged her oldest daughter when she noticed that she was coming.
