A loud alarm clock rang through one of the rooms of the Tohsaka's estate, the owner of the clock slammed her ivory hand onto the clock. She frowned deeply at the time only wanting to sleep after having the long night from before. She rolled to the side not realising how close to the end she was. She fell off the bed tangled up in her navy blue covers, she let out a yelp and quickly became wide awake as she hit the floor. She winced as a carpet burn made itself known on the palms of her hands. "Stupid rug," she muttered trying to untangle herself from the comforter and sheets.

She finally kicked the covers off her legs and stood up, nearly tripping again as the blanket had wrapped around her ankle. "Stupid sheets," she untangled the blanket form her foot and walked towards her wardrobe. She grabbed her brown, black, and reed school uniform before heading into the bathroom.

Once she was ready for school, Jean walked down the steps of her house with a yawn. She stretched her arms up and grabbed her black winter jacket. Over the past few days, it had started to get a bit chilly, which made her upset as she knew that midterms were coming. She went into the kitchen to grab a cup of hot coffee to take as well as a green apple. She yawned a bit more before realising how quiet it was in the house. She raised an eyebrow as she looked around, "Where's father..." the red-haired girl trailed off. Jean decided to go down to the basement when she didn't see her dad in the living room or the dining room.

However, he was not in there either which was strange as he was almost always in there. She furrowed her eyebrows before going to turn around, only stopping when she heard something fall. The young Tohsaka turned around to look at what fell, 'A book?' She questioned in her head bending down to pick up the worn out cover.

The book was small being about 7 inches across and 10 inches down. It wasn't that thick and held dark brown engravings into the notebook, it had to be at least seventy-years old if not older. She opened the cover to see her grandfathers name in the top left corner of the cover,  Takeshi Tohsaka. Jean skimmed over the book, seeing multiple dates, spells, glyphs, and a few more things. However a small pouch fell out of the journal, making the blue-eyed girl look towards the ground. It was a leather pouch that had similar markings to the journal as well as the necklace that her uncle got her. She opened the pouch taking out eight different cards, looking closely she realised that all of them but two were Heroic Spirit classes. Rider, Assassin, Caster, Lancer, Archer, and Saber, it did not have Berserker and instead had two other cards that she couldn't read because of how damaged they were. She frowned slightly before putting them all in the pouch and into the book. "Allura, do you have anything to say about this?" She asked, questioning the older woman who lingered in her body.

"I don't" the woman replied even knowing full well that she did know but couldn't tell the younger Tohsaka. "You have to go before you're late for school." Jean closed her eyes in aggravation slightly before putting the book back and running up the stairs. She ran to school holding that she wouldn't be late for school.

As she made it to the school, she ran through her classroom smiling as she realised that the teacher wasn't even there yet. She walked over to her seat in between Brooke and Seri. "Jean, you alright?" Brooke questioned leaning towards the slightly older girl, worry in her brown eyes. Jean laid her head on her arms, only now realising how tired she was from the fight with Caster.

"Raplustiredequlsworout..." she muttered not lifting her head and instead closing her eyes.

"Eh?"

The red-haired girl lifted her head slightly so Brooke could hear her, "Ran plus tired equals worn out."

"Did you help with the thing last night?" Seri asked remembering the bright light of Excalibur from her window.

"Yeah, but all it was was helping them figure out how to kill Caster. It wasn't much, I just told them about Saber's NP and how it could one-hit-kill Caster," Jean answered still leaning on her arms. "I did find something strange this morning though," she said leaning her head up slightly so she could explain. Almost immediately, Seri and Brooke leaned in with their eyes shining with curiosity. "I had gone down to the basement where we keep all the, you know, and I ran across my grandfathers book. It held a bunch of journal entries, spells, and even a pack of Servant cards. I have no idea what they were all for though."
