Ch. 12: The Saber Team

The blue-haired Saber had left the two after giving the address, telling them to stop by when they needed to. "I'm still not sure about joining the Saber Team, Miss Jean."

"It's alright Lancer, if anything seems suspicious than we'll leave," the duo walked up to the address they were given. "Okay, this is it," Jean said as they walked up to the old Japanese house. They walked up to the front door and knocked. After a few seconds, Maiya opened the door no emotion on her face.

"I'm Maiya, Erwin had told us that you would be coming. Come in," the woman moved to the side to allow the two to walk into the house. She led them to the main room where Irisviel, Saber, and Erwin's master had been arguing about the Einzbern's health.

"Irisviel, you must rest you seem extremely weak," Saber stated, her voice laced with worry.

"No, I'm fine. I need to talk to Tohsaka about the temporary cease fire," she replied shaking her head slightly.

"If talking to us will endanger your health you should really just go rest," Jean pointed out gathering the attention of the three.

"I'm fine, truly. Why don't you come sit down?" The group took a seat around a table, silence falling as no one knew what to say. After a few more seconds the homunculus spoke up, "Erwin had stated that you needed a place to stay?"

The young Tohsaka nodded, "Yes. Lancer and I do not have any plans are participating in this war. I simply ask to stay here for a few nights till Kotomine stops looking after the house. After that, I will return to my home. In return for letting me stay, I can give you all the information I know about Kotomine and Archer."

The white-haired woman thought for a moment before looking towards Maiya and then Edward, Erwin's Master. They both nodded agreeing with her, "You can stay here. Now, what is the information you have?"

"Kotomine's main focus is a special type of martial arts and a thin blades called Black Keys. These may seem quite small to sue for a mage, but he has tons of experience as well as a bulletproof outfit. As for Archer, I know a bit more. His true name is Gilgamesh the King of Heroes, he is able to use a sword that could rival Saber's Excalibur if not than completely overthrow it. His Gate of Babylon is also something to not underestimate as well as his armor. His golden armor has high magic resistance and will not cut for anything. He is definitely a Servant to not mess with, however every person has their flaws and his is his arrogance. As long as he thinks that he can beat you easily or doesn't think of you as a worthy opponent than he won't open his gate fully or call on Ea, his sword," Jean explained.

"You seem to have surprisingly a lot of information on those two that we did not know about," Maiya stated.

"I figured that something like this would happen, hence why I agreed to help my father in the first place. That's why I decided to figure out exactly what both of them could do. Kirei is fast so a time-slower spell would be best and as long as you don't piss off Archer you should be safe."

"Do you have any other information other than those two?"

"Hmm..." Jean thought for a moment to think if she missed anything. "I don't have much information on the remaining Masters. I haven't really had any run ins with Rider's Master and Berserker's Master I had known but I don't know what had happened to him in two years. I do know that he is doing this because of his father but that is it."

"Alright, thank you for the help," Irisviel said before standing up. "Saber, can you please lead her to her room?"

"Of course, Irisviel," the blonde knight stood up and started leading the duo out of the main room. She led them down the halls of the house, the tension between the two Servant's was clear. Neither of them however wanted to say a word in fear of the other lashing out. Saber stopped in front of one of the sliding doors, she motioned her hand towards it. "This will be your room for now. We'll talk strategies in the morning no with breakfast."
