I catch Letty staring at me again from across the room, which causes her to quickly avert her eyes. I make sure to keep watching her and when she looks back at me, I meet her gaze and smirk, taking another sip of my beer. Her cheeks flush but this time she holds my gaze, a mischievous look washing over her face.
What I failed to mention to Dom earlier was that this "tension" was driving us both crazy. These last few weeks have more or less been a game of Who's-Going-To-Break-First between Letty and me. Small brushes of the shoulder, casual arms resting on waists and hips, taking extra care to lean over the hood of a car when we know the other is passing by. I may have liked Letty before but this has taken it to a whole new level. And tonight, I'm about ready to lose it. I'm restless, and I haven't gotten laid in weeks, especially not after this back and forth started.
Letty suddenly "notices" something on her shoe and bends over to fix it. I could have dealt with it had she not looked directly at me as soon as she was bent over. She gives me a sly, knowing look and straightens up, turning back to the people she was talking with. I stand and walk over to her, grabbing her wrist and briefly mentioning having to talk to her to the people she'd been chatting with.
I take her down the hall and make sure there's no one in my room before shutting the door and locking it behind us.
Letty feigns annoyance, crossing her arms and raising an eyebrow.
"What's your problem?"
"Same as yours," I growl, before pushing her up against the door and capturing her lips in a searing kiss. She responds immediately, wrapping an arm around my waist and holding my face close with her free hand. I pause for a moment, pulling away just enough to speak.
"Letty if you don't want this you better tell me right now cause if you don't I ain't stopping."
"Just shut up and kiss me Hernandez," she mutters, and I happily comply.
I pick her up and walk away from the door, slowly lowering her onto the bed. As I trail my kisses away from her lips, down to her neck and her body, it's not long before I'm making her whimper at the smallest touch, and she does the same for me.
We finally rid each other completely of our clothes and I pause for a moment, taking her in. There's no way to really describe how she looks in the dim light of the bedside lamp, the way the light dances across her body as she lays there and looks up at me.
"You're staring. Getting scared Gabi?" Letty teases. I smile and lean down, kissing her gently.
"You're so beautiful," I say honestly, to which she blushes and covers her face. I giggle and reach up, removing her hands. "Hey no fair, let me see you."
And I do. I see her when she's panting and crying out in ecstasy, and I see her when she's making my stomach do somersaults and smiling when I call out her name. Tasting her sweet kisses and feeling her pressed up against me is more than anything I could've imagined. I know she's never slept with a girl before, so the whole time we're together I make sure I don't fail to tell her how beautiful she is, how good she makes me feel. By the end of the evening when the sounds of the party have faded away, and the guests have all gone home, all I can think about is how Letty, the girl I've been hopelessly crushing on for two years, is wrapped up in my arms right now in this moment.
"Gabi?" she whispers.
"Mhm?"
"You talk to all your girls like that?"
"All my girls?" I chuckle. "The hell you mean all my girls?"
"All the girls you hook up with, stupid," she slaps my chest.
I shake my head and bite my lip. "No. We barely even talk most of the time."
She chuckles and slyly raises an eyebrow. "You gonna be thinking about me next time I see you leave with somebody else then, huh?"
I look at her, almost in disbelief.
"Letty you really think I'd just casually hook up with one of my best friends?"
That throws her off. "I-I don't know."
I kiss her, trailing my fingers down her sides, knowing she's ticklish and smiling in satisfaction when I feel her squirm. She giggles and slaps my arm.
"Letty I haven't hooked up with anybody since that New Year party," I say.
She looks at me in shock. "You haven't? But you said-"
"Nope." I shake my head. "I tried. But I could only think of you. And how I felt when you kissed me," I say softly.
She strokes my cheek and asks, "You know why I didn't hook up with anybody that night?" I shake my head. "'Cause you were there. When I turned around and saw you..." She smiles, embarrassed. "You looked fucking hot Gabi. I didn't want nobody else."
I grin and kiss her again, climbing out of bed. I hear her complain when I get up, but watch the smile return to her face when I pull out some soft pants and t shirts for us to wear to sleep.
"Unless you'd rather walk out there and deal with drunk and cranky Vince right now," I offer, grinning when she snatches the clothes out of my hands.
"I'll pass," she giggles, putting them on. We get comfy again, cuddling up with each other.
"Go to sleep," I say, tickling her lightly.
"Only when you do," she giggles. She grows quiet. "Things are gonna change now, right?"
"Not if you don't want them to," I say.
"What if..." she whispers. "What if I do?"
I pause, then kiss her on the forehead and stroke her hair. "Go to sleep."
"Good night Gabi."
"Good night Letty."
