"Hey, you have a new message." I told Clementia.

It was Saturday and after getting our ice creams we were watching Friends. I was sitting on the couch comfortably while Clementia was in the kitchen to fetch more snacks. As I was waiting for her I couldn't help but notice the messages she was getting. I picked up the phone to see who it was, since we both didn't care about looking into each other's phone.

"It's from, Kye."

"Oh, just leave it Lev it's nothing." Clementis shouted from the kitchen as soon as I read the name.

"Wait, the Kye? You mean the Kye that I'm thinking is texting you? Why? Is he blackmailing you or something?" I unlocked the phone and pressed the message app. But as I was about to check the messages Clementia came running towards me and snatched her phone out of my hand.

"No! We're just talking these days, you know? So, lunch?" Clementia was about to mess with her hands but noticed it herself and hid them behind her back.

"Don't change the subject. Do you like him? Are you guys, like, dating?" I asked.

"What? No, no, no!" We both knew this that situation was so suspicious. I just stared at her with my arms crossed. "Fine, I like him and we've been talking." Clementia gave in.

"Since when?" Although I saw it coming, I didn't see it coming at the same time. I didn't know how to react. It wasn't that I did't like Kye, which also didn't mean I liked him either. He used to be a total jerk for 3 years, from Freshmen to Junior, but somehow since senior year he didn't really do anything bad.

"N-not long." I didn't say anything back and Clementia didn't either. Nothing really came to mind, it was as blank as a paper.

As I stayed still Clementia sightly grabbed my arm and said calmly, "Hey, it's cool, right? I wasn't trying to hide-"

"It's okay." I answered back. I never got used to Clementia saying that she liked anyone. It always hurt. Always.

"Hi, it's Lev right?" I closed my locker and turned to face her.

"Yeah, and you're Jin. What's up?" I asked.

"I just wanted to say I'm sorry if I had made you uncomfortable. It was just part of the deal thing and-"

Huh?

"Wait, the deal thing? What deal thing?" This was new.

"You know, the deal that she asked me to set up a fake blind date with Kye and in return she would give me your number. Didn't Clementia tell you? Or I thought you at least knew it. I thought you had approved with giving your number."

"So it was an exchange?"

"Yeah, kinda. I'm sorry if you feel bad I wasn't doing it on a bad intention." She apologized as she noticed my expression changing.

"No, no, it's fine. It isn't your fault. But I do think I would need to have a talk with Clementia. Anyways, it was great meeting you." I forced a smile and went to hunt for Clementia.

I was angry. Angry that Clemenita had given my number to someone without my permission as an exchange, just so that she could get on a date. She used me for her own good. I was about to explode any second.

Then I stopped stomping. I tried to calm down by taking deep breathes. Maybe I was getting more emotional about this because of the feeling of betrayal was coming from the one I was in love with.

I had called Clementia a few minutes ago and was now waiting for her at a cafe. A cafe where we would usually come to grab a cup of coffee.

We both had the same thought, that when it came to buying a simple cup of coffee, it would be more helpful to buy a non-brand coffee for the economy. We did like Starbucks but when a simple coffee, nothing special from any other coffee, was in need we would come to this cafe.

I heard a girl's giggle with the sound of a door opening. As I turned my head to the door I saw a giggling Clementia coming in, but not alone. Kye was beside her, smiling.

As Clementia looked around and finally found me she walked towards me. And as they came closer I saw their hands in one another's.

"Hey." She said, with a big smile. I guess they were dating now. "Oh, Kye could you go order the drinks while I speak with Lev?"

"Sure." Kye replied with a smile.

As soon as Kye left I started to get to the point. "We need to tal-" But before I could Clementia cut me.

"Oh, before that I just want to tell you that Kye and I are dating. Isn't it wonderful?"

"Well, I-" And once again, she cut me.

"And he just asked me, like 2 hours ago."

"So wha-" Again, she repeated her actions.

"We were eating sushi and he just-" I couldn't take it. I was furious. I stood up as I banged my hands on the table. Making Clementia jump in surprise.

"Enough! How can you talk about this right in my face? How do you even have the balls to?" It came out harsh but I couldn't care less.

"W-why are you angry. What's the problem?"

"Did you really think that I wouldn't find out, ever?"

We stared at each other, my eyes looking down at Clementia full of anger. But I couldn't really tell what Clementia's eyes were saying. Was it surprisement? Confusion? Or was she debating rapidly in her head whether she should come out clean or just act dumb.

"What's going on?" Kye stepped in the situation as he put down two cups of coffee. He looked back and forth trying to figure what to do as neither of us reacted to his appearance.

"Why don't you guys calm down a bit." Kye tried to make me sit down.

I turned my head to Kye and smirked, then looked back at Clementia. "No such person would do this to their best friend."

She wouldn't meet my eyes. I could now read what they were saying, guilt.

"What?" Kye whispered in confusion while Clementia stayed silent, now looking at her feet.

I waited for at least a 'sorry' to come out of her mouth but I guess I was just wasting my time. Disappointed, I turned around leaving them there and headed outside.
