Peridot's Pov:

I quickly brought both of them inside the empty room.

How...?

Why are they here!?

I made sure no one else was following us. When it all seem clear, I shut the door close.
I suddenly turned around, facing my parents that I haven't seen in a very long time.
Their faces also seemed confused. I mean...I don't blame them...
How would anyone else react to coming home, and finding a birthday party going on in their house.

"Peridot..." she spoke. First time in a while I hear her in person.
It's been so long...

"What's going on?" My dad finishes her sentence for her.

What's going on...

Of course...

"What's going on..?" I let out a small chuckle. I could still see the confusion in their eyes.
I wouldn't be surprised if they thought I went crazy.

"What's going on is that these people actually know what day it is. The only people who actually cared..." I spoke my mind.

When realizing, my mother brought her hands to her mouth. Her eyes widened. She looked shocked.
"Peridot We're-"

I cut her off by putting a hand up. "I don't want to hear the excuse...save it for later."

I look at my father instead. Waiting to see if he has anything to add. Instead, he simply drops his head low for a few seconds.
He clears his throat, and has the courage to look at me in the eyes.

"I know how you must be feeling...we didn't mean to bother you like this. On this day."

Bother!?....

I clenched my fists hard.

"Ugh!....you two still don't get it huh?!..." I bring my hand to my face, turning away from them.
I face the wall instead. I can't bare looking at them for long.

I stay silent, thinking on what to do.

I have to come up with something. I'm not the only one suprised to see these two here.
The rest must be talking to each other downstairs.
Talking about how they just dramatically appeared out of nowhere, with no call or warning.

....

But then I come up with an idea. One that might just be crazy enough...but it's the only one I have in mind.

With a painful sigh, I turn back around, facing them.

I walk towards them, then stop when I have a good distance.

"There's cake and food downstairs. You guys can enjoy the party. By tomorrow, I'll have my things packed."

They looked at me, "what? Why?" My dad said.

My mother almost looked like she was about to cry.

I just shook my head. Slowly walking to the door, I opened it and looked at them over my shoulder.

"I'm moving out."
