The past few days, we've spent half the time inside the hotel room.
Watching movies or ordering stuff to eat.
It was like a little vacation.
However, today was another special day.
The end of this year.
Crazy how fast life is going.
"Mmmmm pEri!" Lapis suddenly flopped onto me.
I groaned, jolting up. "Oof- ow! What?!"
"I have nothing to weeeaar..." she whined.
....
"Lapis you literally brought like two bags full of clothes. You brought more clothes than accessories actually..."
Lapis lifted her face a bit, her eyes meeting mine.
"Ok...so?"
I sighed, "then you should have plenty to wear, Miss runway."
Lapis smiled, rolling on the bed next to me.
She hugged me, nuzzling her head on my body. "Man...this small trip of ours sure was something huh.."
I nodded, "tell me about it. Two day road trip, week on a hotel, evil cousins, and the urge to not race..."
....
"Quite tough" I laughed.
Lapis joined me, snorting while laughing.
Today was our last day here. Tomorrow morning we're supposed to leave back to Beach City.
Meaning another two day road trip...
Man...
"Let's hurry up and get dressed. I don't wanna be hurried up," I told Lapis.
I tried sitting up, but Lapis didn't move.
....
I tried again, but she just chuckled, clearly enjoying it.
"Lapis...we need to go.." I told her. "You're the one who tells me to hurry up in the end."
"Oooh but I don't wanna move...I feel too comfortable," she smiled. "Besides, we're supposed to go to a nearby park. Not my parents house."
Right.
"Then can we hurry up?" I said, still trying to get her off of me.
She sighed, "fine. But when we come back, I'm falling back down on the bed, and not moving at all."
Finally she moved, letting me stand up.
"Where did your parents say the park was?" I asked her, putting on my hoodie.
Lapis lazily turned to face me.
She wrapped herself with the blanket, turning into a ball.
"Mmmm...somewhere near their house. I think a few blocks away. Ill make sure to text them when we're close."
I wonder why they chose to spend new years eve outside.
It's cold!
Very cold...
"Lapis. It looks like you're doing a lot of nothing. Stop being lazy and get up," I threw a pillow at her.
She giggled, trying to throw the pillow back at me, but completely missing.
"Fiiiine...I'll get uuuup ugH!" She took her sweet time to get up.
"The others are ready too right?"
Lapis shrugged.
....
I let out a sigh, "they better be. You get ready. When you're done, meet me with the others."
I grabbed my glasses and keys before walking out of the hotel room.
