"Congratulations, Goldie," Brice tells her as she walks across the stage at her graduation ceremony, even though she can't hear him. Perhaps she didn't have any honors, but she managed to graduate on time, keep her internship and excel at it, while at the same time dealing with being pregnant, having a child and helping Brice set up his mafia and campaign for sheriff.
When the people found out that the charismatic man that came back with Savana Carter and the Lewis boys was being backed by the FBI their confidence in him soared.
Brice had lost no time in setting up his people. Once he found out that Savana was expecting he called in more men and making contact with those in California. Many of them were more than a little nervous at hearing that he was taking over. Many of them were more than willing to sign treaties with him. They promptly slowed their culling of girls and selling them.
They settled down really quick when Brice would ask them why they were stock piling weapons? Brice loved the look of fear that would come into their eyes as they realized that he knew of their activities. They are all quick to assure him that they are either not attacking him or that they are only getting them to sell elsewhere.
Brice always tells them that they have a time limit on getting those weapons out of his area or he'll take matters into his own hands. They always believe him and in short order those weapons are gone.
Slowly, but surely crime isn't gone, but it is slowed down and not growing like before. Brice does his best to deal with the gang problem and his allies are more than willing to work with him on that. Slowly they are able to push them down the State and to some extent out of the country.
The feds couldn't be happier with him.
The people of his little town are more than happy that they voted him in as their sheriff. They are happy to welcome in his and Savana's children when they are born.
Brice holds the twins and jiggles them a bit when they start to get fussy. The graduation is finally over and Savana is quick to make her way to Brice and the kids. She barely stops long enough to greet those that congratulate her.
Brice gives her a kiss as he hands her their daughter. "Congratulations, Goldie. It was hard, but you managed to do it. I'm so proud of you and I'm sure that your parents would be too."
Savana wipes the tears from her eyes. "Thank you, Brice." That's all she has time to say before she is surrounded by well wishers.
Two months later Savana finds herself once more in her wedding dress and getting ready to walk down an aisle.
"I wish your parents could be here, Savana. They would be so proud of you. I know it was hard for you when you lost your first baby." Savana had a miscarriage a few days after she told Brice about him becoming a father. Savana was devastated but with Brice's help she was able to get back up and get back to work. Not too long after that she found herself pregnant once more, this time with twins.
"Your parents moved in when I was pregnant with Jasper. They were such big help to me. They were so excited for me and couldn't do enough for me. They tried so hard to get pregnant. Your mother got pregnant a year after Jasper was born. She was devastated when she lost that baby. They were cautiously hopeful when they found themselves expecting a year later.
"Yet, it wasn't to be. When I found out that I was expecting Grayson, I wanted more than anything to tell them, but didn't want them to be hurt." Samantha shakes her head.
"I should have known better. Your parents saved me. If I hadn't of had their help when I found out that my husband had been cheating on me, I don't think Greyson would have been born. When that fool damn near killed me, it was them, not my husband that took care of me. He was too busy being with his whore.
