"Savana," Brice says and she stops waiting for him to continue. "I'm sorry, I really am. I never wanted you to feel like you are a burden or that it's selfish of you to want to be protected and safe. I want you to tell them the truth no matter what it is." Brice tells her.
Savana looks at him in confusion and Brice clarifies his words. "If you want to stay tell them that. If you don't feel safe leaving, tell them that. If you don't feel safe with me, tell them. If you want to leave tell them. I don't want you to feel like you have to stay here. I don't want you to feel like you need to leave. I want you here, just know that. I don't find you a burden or a problem. My men don't find you a burden or a problem, but I will understand if you wish to leave. As I've told you multiple times before, I'm not a good person so it will be totally understandable if you wish to leave. Especially after earlier." Brice makes sure that she understands that she is free to tell them that she wants to leave.
He doesn't like the scared look she gets in her eyes, though. "Hey, you don't have to leave. I'd rather you didn't." Savana shakes her head.
"What is it, Savana?" Brice asks her concerned.
"I thinks she doesn't want to go in with the feds. She's terrified, Brice." KK says watching Savana.
"They won't want her to be around me when they talk to her. They will think that I'm interfering and scaring her into saying whatever she tells them." Brice says agitated. He runs his hands through his hair as he walks away from the other two.
"Savana, they likely won't allow me or KK in, but they should allow Johnson. Would you be okay with that?" Brice stops his pacing and asks her. None of them notice the feds had opened the door and were watching them.
Savana shakes her head. Even the feds can tell that she is scared.
"Mr. Jensen, why is Miss Carter so upset?" Agent Johnson angrily demands.
"I think it's because you'll be wanting to talk to her with out me around." Brice answers, but he doesn't take his eyes off Savana.
"Savana, will you come here?" Brice asks and opens his arms. Savana practically runs into them and he gives her a hug. He can feel her shaking in terror. "It's alright, Savana. They are just going to ask you some questions, they won't touch you in any way and they won't hurt you. All you have to do is answer them truthfully. Alright?" Brice does his best to calm her down. The two feds just watch intently.
Anderson nods to himself, it was the right call to send her back with Jensen. He notices that every time she looks at him or his boss that she gets a terrified look on her face. He's not going to force the issue. He looks to his boss and he can tell that his boss feels the same.
"Mr. Jensen, when she calms down you will be allowed in with her, if she is willing. You will need to be behind her and out of earshot. We will talk to her in lowered voices so you won't be too far away. Will that be acceptable to you both?" Anderson's boss finally says when he can see that Savana is starting to calm down.
He understands much better what the doctor was trying to say in regards to not taking her away from Brice Jensen. It is obvious that she finds herself safe here and him safe. She is now terrified of all law enforcement officials and if she has any hope of overcoming that she will have to remain in the care of a suspected mafia boss.
He wants to cry.
"Savana, would that be acceptable to you?" Brice asks her gently. She looks up at him and slowly nods. She most definitely isn't happy about the idea of meeting with the feds.
"Thank you, Dr. Califax, for coming over. I'll call your office to set up the next appointment, if that would be alright?" Brice tells the Dr. as they come in. He shakes the doctor's hand.
