Brice wakes up some time later and finds himself still holding Savana. He can tell that she's been awake for a bit. He feels her shaking like she's either laughing or crying and he's not sure which. "Hey, is everything alright?"
Savana nods, but she doesn't answer vocally. Brice sighs, "I dreamed last night that you actually talked to me. No, not dreamed, hallucinated would be a better word since I was still awake. At least I think I was, I was so tired last night by the time I came in, that it all seems to be mixed together."
"It wasn't a hallucination," Savana whispers, "I did talk to you last night."
Brice smiles broadly and turns her over. "I wasn't just imagining it?"
Savana shakes her head no. "I am still not very comfortable speaking though." She manages to say.
There is something off and Brice is picking up on it, but doesn't understand what it is. "Savana, let me get you some paper and a pen. I want you to tell me what's going on. I don't want to have you speak if you aren't comfortable talking yet."
Savana puts her hand on Brice to stop him from leaving. "You don't need to. Jasper brought me some clothes and my iPad earlier. He left something in a bag for you as well. It's on your side of the bed on the floor, I believe."
"Okay, I'll take a look at what he left me, but I would really like for you to write and tell me what's wrong. Okay? I don't know how to help you if you won't tell me what I fucked up." Brice's words make Savana gasp. She had no idea that he would take her being upset like that. He hasn't done anything wrong and she doesn't want him to feel like he has.
She starts typing as fast as she can. She fears that if she doesn't get it all out now that she'll never have the guts to write it, tell him her fears. Once Brice gets back from the bathroom and looks at the items Jasper left him she finishes up.
"Are you done?" Brice asks gently. He's doing his best to not kiss her and hold her. Jasper's little joke didn't help. Leaving a box of condoms and a note about not just using Savana and breaking her heart. He thinks that if he did that Jasper would kill him and likely Greyson as well.
"What did he leave you?" Savana's whispered words bring him out of his thoughts.
"Some clean clothes, likely sent by KK. A box of condoms and a note of warning to not hurt you."
"I'm sorry." Savana whispers out. Brice has to take a deep breath. Her words are so sexy when she talks like that. It is probably a good thing that she still isn't comfortable talking. He's having a hell of a time calming his body down now.
"Hey, no need to apologize for what someone else does or says. He is his own person, you aren't responsible for his actions." Brice tells her and turns around. He sees how sad she is and he aches to pull her into his arms. Something is telling him that there is more going on here than he understands though and so he holds off.
Savana shakes her head at his words and hands him the iPad. "Not apologizing for his actions, but for my own."
Brice allows his confusion to show on his face. Savana sighs, "I'm sorry for pushing you like I did. I shouldn't have. I understand that you aren't interested in me like that, no matter what my brothers say. I've seen the girls you've dated. I'm nothing like them." Savana can't look at Brice any more and turns away.
Brice, still very confused and starting to panic at the tears he saw in her eyes starts reading.
The words that she wrote translates to her voice in his mind.
"I looked you up on the internet. They had photos of you with various dates. I looked up three years worth. I understand now that you are just being nice. All of those dates you had, they are all tall, willowy and brunette. As you are well aware, I am at most 5' 6" in high heels, I have curves, and perhaps the most damning of all, I have blond hair. I am about as opposite of your type of female as you can get.
