Chapter 16

Chapter 16:

That same night as Lisa learnt more about Tzuyu, Jungkook couldn't keep his mind off Lisa. Throughout the night, the sound of the wind and crickets chirping were heard by all rooms in the Bighit trainee dorms.

"Jeon Jungkook! Stop that, will you?" A sleepy old man — who was not really old — said with a grumpy tone. Besides the natural noises of the night, there was Jungkook's obnoxious tapping of his pencil against the thin textbook paper.

Jungkook who was just pulled out of his daze mumbled a quiet, "Sorry Yoongi hyung." before setting down his pencil and glancing around the room, eyes landing on the black haired dude who just scolded him.

Yoongi was quick to fall asleep, his loud snores gave it all away. The boy's eyes then traveled to his other hyung who was farther from where Jungkook currently sat on the opposite side of the room, Seokjin. He was also in a deep sleep.

Jungkook then turned back to his textbook and closed it before switching off the small desk lamp. Even after putting all his school work away, he didn't move from the cheap, plastic chair that made loud noise every time he moved.

Jungkook usually wasn't one to overthink things but today for some reason was an exception. It has officially been 24 hours since Lisa had kissed him and 24 hours since she hasn't left his head as well. He avoided her the whole day successfully and didn't fail to notice how she was doing the same.

The entire day, he had felt very anxious and jittery, it was a weird feeling. For a second he thought he was becoming sick but that couldn't be possible, he had no symptoms. The weird feeling was the same feeling he had when he met up with Lisa at the park when he saw her disappointed.

It was also the same feeling he felt when he tended to the girl's wounds but told her not to feel special. He told her that his hyungs were telling him more ways to be likable and not to take it personal but in reality, his hyungs never told him anything, he just wanted to help her.

Well, it wasn't the exact same feelings as before, it was a bit stronger.

Jungkook was grateful Lisa was keeping her distance at the moment because he also needed a little time to figure out what he was feeling. Unfortunately, the process was taking longer than expected as the feeling was completely foreign.

Jungkook's thoughts were interrupted when someone knocked on the door before opening it. Namjoon, appeared and began speaking, "It's late. Head to sleep now." Jungkook nodded resulting in Namjoon retreating and closing the door quietly.

Sometimes Jungkook would get so "engrossed in work" that Namjoon made it a habit to remind him to sleep. Well, it was less of Jungkook working and more of him procrastinating and doodling in his textbooks. Either way, he would do it for hours and not even notice.

After doing his regular night rituals, Jungkook laid on his bed and sat staring at the ceiling, many thoughts still running through his head. The more his eyelids felt heavy, the more his mind cleared and eventually he drifted to dream land.

Jungkook scrunched his eyebrows at the sudden disturbing noise. He sat up from his bed and rubbed his eyes with a small pout forming in his lips.

With a quick glance to the brown desk not to far away, he realized the annoying noise was coming from his phone. It was time for him to wake up and prepare for school.
