After managing to get an Uber back to her hotel, Aubrey angrily threw her clutch on the bed and kicked off the shoes as soon as she entered her room."Fucking prick." She huffed out to herself, anger still riddling her expression.
Still furious and completely soaked through from the rain, Aubrey then stripped off her drenched clothes and had a much needed hot shower. The events of the night playing out over and over in her mind as she washed her hair and scrubbed her skin.
Once she was dry and warm, and her body was clothed in her favourite comfortable clothes, Aubrey nestled on the bed. The sound of the TV flooding the background of the room as she ordered room service. Her stomach now growling with such hunger that she had to hold back from ordering everything on the menu, deciding to ask the person on the phone for just a simple pizza and diet coke.
When she hung up the hotel phone, Aubrey found herself glaring at her clutch that was still left at the end of the bed. She hadn't looked at her phone since she gotten into her taxi here. She thought about calling Sofia, but she wasn't really in the mood to discuss her awful date right now, it would only make her more angry. She was also still rather embarrassed by it.
But crawling across the bed Aubrey couldn't help herself as she grabbed her bag and pulled out her phone, her eyes fixing on the screen as it lit up to show any notifications she had.
Sofia: I hope your date is going well! Can't wait to hear all about it! xx
1 missed call from Mum
Mum: I tried to call you, phone me back when you can. Just wanted to check in xxx
Aubrey felt disappointment flood her stomach. She wasn't sure why. Perhaps she was expecting to see something from Harry. But why would he contact her? What would he say?
Shaking her head she plugged her phone into the charger next to her bed before placing it on the side table.
Hoping to forget tonight ever happened.

"I'll just have a coffee for now, please." Aubrey asked the waiter with a smile, her green eyes glancing away from her phone long enough to look up at him.
"Of course, I'll get that for you right away." The waiter spoke politely, returning Aubrey's smile before leaving her table.
Aubrey reverted her focus back to her phone, her forearms leaning against the linen table cloth as she scanned over the email she was half way through typing out. The thick leather bound menu resting on the table in front of her along with her glass of water as she began tapping away at her phone.
It was Monday morning, meaning it was the day of her next meeting with Mr Alarie and Mr Johnson. The meeting was to take place at Mr Alarie's hotel again, which was just across the street from the restaurant Aubrey was situated in. As she was almost two hours early when she set off, she decided to pop in for a coffee, not wanting to spend any further time in Mr Alarie's hotel than she had to after their last awkward encounter.
The restaurant was elegant and large, yet simple in decor. The fine cutlery and fresh linen on the tables. The wait staff well presented and polite, the walls cladded with mahogany wood and wide windows with hints of colour, a bar situated on the other side. The table Aubrey sat at rested in the middle of the room, surrounded by other tables and diners. It was fairly busy for a Monday morning, but Aubrey was too lost in her work to notice anything around her.
