All three of the new group Adora found herself in, made their way to the camp that they had.
Glimmer had been right. It was small. Just a little fire going with only the embers.
"Do we need some more firewood or-."
"No, no. We've got a pile over there. We have to keep the fire at embers so it can't be seen. It'll keep us safe." Bow answered.
Glimmer didn't say anything and just sat down near the fire, putting her hands out to warm them.
Bow did the same, leaving Adora standing and just looking.
Bow and Glimmer shared a look and the Bow looked back at Adora. "So.. Adora."
Adora had sat down by now and was entranced with the fire. "Hmm?"
"You're from the Horde? Or- at least you were before all of this happened?" Bow questioned.
Adora chuckled a bit. She didn't really have a reason to, nothing had been funny, but she had just laughed.
"Yeah. Yeah, I'm from the Horde. Before the bombs dropped, I could see everyone. They all evacuated I guess and they didn't have time to wake me up. I saw one of my- friends. Catra. She was running towards me and when I knew it was her.. I ran too. And- and then the bomb dropped and she was just-."
"Gone?" Glimmer asked.
Adora just nodded, unable to speak anymore or she would break. She wouldn't allow herself to cry in front of these people. She barely knew them. If there's one thing the Horde had taught her it was to never show weakness.
"Us too." Bow said.
"The Brightmoon castle was hit. The runestone was destroyed. That's why.. why Glimmer doesn't have any powers. She used to teleport around the castle. Every where you looked she would just sparkle." Bow said, laughing by the end of it.
Glimmer smiled a little and nodded in agreement. Adora felt bad. Not only had Glimmer lost her powers but she had also lost her mother. All in one day. She must've felt worse then Adora did.
"And I- well I lost my dads today. I went looking for their library and. Well I guess one of the bombs hit it. Straight on. And I know. I know they're really gone." Bow said, letting a tear roll down his cheek.
Glimmer got up and sat next to him, putting her hand on his back to comfort him.
Adora crossed her arms in front of her. She was thankful they trusted her. Or at least trusted her enough to tell her about themselves.
A silence fell on them. It was left an uneasy feeling with Adora. All that could be heard was the leaves swaying in the wind. It was cold. Adora wished she had picked up her jacket before everything happened.
But she hadn't thought about it. All she wanted to do was find everyone. To think, the worst thought that she had then, was that Shadow Weaver had gotten to them. Brainwashed everyone. Then at least they would all be there. Alive.
"I think we should go to bed." Bow said, interrupting Adora's thoughts.
Glimmer and Adora just nodded at him as they both got up.
"We didn't really have a chance to get blankets or anything but, I made these earlier today. Figured we'd need them." Glimmer said, holding up two 'blankets' made from leaves and foliage.
"We can use the same one. Here." Bow said, handing one of them to Adora. "Thanks." She said.
Adora sat on the ground, thankfully covered with grass. She put the leaf blanket over her and settled herself. She could hear her teeth chattering. She didn't care.
