10: Resurfacing

"Right. Let's go. Quietly." Bow lifted his hands up, pointing with his fingers.

They were all at the edge of the woods. At the prison.

It looked like torture more then anything else. People wearing almost nothing were pulled around by chains hanging from handcuffs.

They had no expression on their faces. They all just walked, adapting to their routine. Like normal life was just something that they had never had.

"Jesus. I knew it was bad but this- this is just.." Lonnie trailed off . She didn't even want to say what it was. What it looked like to her.

"We seeing anything?" Bow asked, looking back at everyone. Even he had his thoughts about the scene in front of him. He wouldn't voice them since he knew Glimmer was already having a hard time. She was searching for her mother. And that's all she needed to be occupied with.

Rogelio and Kyle both shook their heads. Scorpia and Lonnie were both still in a trance at all of the people and the chains. Micah had his eyes squinted.

Bow faced the King. He didn't say a word. "Angie... she- is that her?" He pointed in front of him. Slightly to the left.

Glimmer heard him and was the first to look at where he was pointing. She gasped and put her hands to her mouth. Bow turned around in an instant and searched in the area that Micah was pointing to.

"Oh... god." Bow let out. Lonnie and Scorpia were pulled from their daze as Bow caught their attention.

They hadn't known who they were looking at but they could only imagine that it was Glimmer's mother. The Queen. If she was walking with all of the other prisoners, it could be a lot for them to see.

"We have to go in there. We have to- we have to get her. We can't just stay here and let anything else happen to her." Micah explained, trying his best to keep quiet in order to not get caught.

"Okay. Okay. We need to think of a way to go in. We need to be sure that we do it right."

Micah huffed and then nodded in agreement. "Rushing in won't help her at all. If anything, It won't help a bit." He said.

They all nodded and Bow was the one to start the planning.

"Now that we have the numbers, we can find a better approach then just breaking the door down. We should all break off into groups. Of two at least, so we have some back up. Each group goes to different side. We all go in on my signal."

Bow looked around at everyone, making sure they understood.

No one had any arguements or confusion and Bow decided to form the groups and spread everyone out.

Lonnie and Scorpia. Rogelio and Kyle. Glimmer and Micah. Bow stayed behind, to watch. He explained he would use his arrows if any of them needed any help.

They had all broken off into their groups. All keeping watch.

Another guard came out from the front after he had ushered the Queen and other prisoners inside.

Glimmer and Micah both stood around the corner from the soldier. Bow nodded to Glimmer, signalling that it was going to their plan.

The guard turned the corner and was jumped by Glimmer and her father. The guard was dragged away into the treeline and Glimmer put on the uniform, leaving Micah in the woods to keep watch and make sure the guard didn't try anything.

Bow made his signal to the others and they all trailed behind Glimmer. Her face was concealed by the uniforms mask.

Glimmer felt the side of the uniform and found chains and handcuffs. Just like the ones that all of the other prisoners had.
