After Adora left the little hut, she still had Catra's bag slung on her shoulder. She had decided to put Catra's clothes in the bag along with her mask.

If Catra had left her clothes and her bag in a place that the Horde most likely hadn't gotten to yet, she was probably trying to run from them.

Change her appearance even as little as getting another change of clothes. But if the Horde were looking for her and they found her clothes inn the hut, then they would know she was trying to hide.

Adora didn't want the Horde knwoing Catra looked different. They could keep looking for the bright red shirt and top that she wore.

Adora continued on the same way she had been going before she stopped. As she wallked and looked around, she took in everything more closely now.

She didn't think magic was a real thing that she would ever be able to see. At least not light magic used for good. She had of course seen Shadow Weaver's magic. Dark magic.

She had seen Horde soldiers being brainwashed, up close. That's how she knew it was happening. She never told anyone what she had seen but she only said that they all needed to stay together.

She had just been walking one night. It had only been a year or two before the bombings.

She was right near Shadow Weaver's chambers. It was late, the door had been open. Adora wouldn't have even stopped if she didn't hear the screaming and yelling from the room.

She had seen a Horde soldier, strapped up on a table, Shadow Weaver standing over him. Yelling at him. "You won't- you won't get away with this." He said to her, struggling.

"You're wrong. No one is going to know about this. You won't even know about this. But enough talk." Shadow Weaver had said to him. And as soon as she had, he was knocked out.

Adora had ran off after she saw that, running back to the others as fast as her legs could carry her.

She woke all of them up. Telling them only that Shadow Weaver was not someone that they should be around.

They hadn't even asked her what happened to make her wake them all up. They had all seen the fear in her eyes when she spoke to them. She had looked like she was on the verge of tears.

Everyone had believed her. Or at least they acted like they did. All apart from Catra. Everyone had gone back to sleep after they had agreed about staying together from now on.

Adora had gone to bed underneath her blanket but yet she was still shivering. Not because she was cold. But because she was terrified.

Terrified of all of the what ifs in her head. Catra saw it. She felt it shaking the bed.

She was sat on the edge of the mattress and she was just looking at Adora. Watching her shiver.

"Adora.. Hey, hey." She had said, scooting over towards Adora.

She put her hand on Adora's cheek which made Adora's eyes flutter open. "I'm right here, okay? Right here." Catra had said, her hand going to Adora's back to calm her.

It had worked. All of the what ifs had faded from Adora's mind as she focused on Catra's words.

"It'll be okay." Catra said to her. That night, Catra had gotten under the covers with Adora. Nothing had happened then. Catra was just there to comfort her.

Adora sighed, remembering it. She had been so warm. She could hear her purring as she slept.

She missed that. She had trouble falling asleep the last few nights. Ever since Catra had been gone, it had been hard.
