She took a deep breath, staring at herself in the mirror.

Her body was covered in nothing but a silk robe as she had dressed in a way to please her mate. She was nervous, her stomach was tingling and flipping, but Deikota and Beth had helped her pick out the perfect items of clothing. They gave words of advice but then they told her to be herself. She wanted to do this, for him, because he deserved it, so she straightened her shoulders and opened the bathroom door.

Cassius was laying on the bed, a book in his hand, but his attention was glued to her the moment she stepped out. His green eyes took in her exposed skin and she saw the desire lit his soul. He threw the book somewhere across the room and then he was standing in front of her. Green eyes glowing with hot emotion.

Grabbing her hand, he pulled her into his chest.

"Are you seducing me?" He whispered hotly.

"Maybe," She teased.

He grunted, gripping her waist, "It's definitely working." And then he tossed her onto the bed with ease. She was alive with excitement, her skin cackling like electricity was charging her blood, and she stared into his eyes with open vulnerability as he climbed over top of her. His strong body molding against her soft one was enough to set her soul on fire. She felt safe, protected, and loved in every definition of the words.

"I love you," She whispered.

He slowly kissed her lips, "I love you too, my little valor," He gazed into her eyes for a long moment, "You are so beautiful, inside and out, I am the luckiest man in the world to have you."

She felt a sweet tear trickle down her cheek and he leaned down to kiss it. She had never experienced love like this before meeting him and she would never regret everything that led her to him. If she hadn't listened to Fabian, she may have never came to Aloysius. She might have never found a home and she would be lost somewhere in the void. She couldn't even imagine living without Cassius. She couldn't imagine being anyone else but herself.

More of her skin was exposed as he pulled the robe strings. She didn't feel shy, letting his eyes roam her naked body, because she had grown to be comfortable in her own skin. Scars and all. They told a story of her bravery, courage, and fearlessness. Someday, she would tell it to everyone, in hopes that it would inspire them, too. Because sometimes, even when it seems like the end, making a choice can change everything.

And she didn't regret any of it.

He slowly kissed every mark on her skin, every scar that decorated her was beautiful, and he whispered sweet nothings beneath his breath. Every word he breathed made her heart soar to new heights. She would have never dreamed of having a mate like this a few months ago. Someone who loved her for everything she was and everything that had made her into who she was.

She trusted, loved, and breathed for this man.

He was her sun.

And she?

"My little valor," He murmured against her skin.

Her heart was beating out of rhythm for him, her wolf calling to his, and there was no stopping the momentum of this moment. She was ready for this and so was he. They didn't have any boundaries to overcome, no secrets to hide, no pain to hide. It was just their bare, naked souls---staring into each other's eyes with raw love.

He laid hot kisses down her neck and peppered her collarbone before he found her sweet spot. He ran his tongue over the tiny little marks that had been left since his last incomplete attempt to mark her but now, there was nothing to stop them. He had his wolf, she no longer had the mark of the moon, and they were ready to join their souls for all of eternity.

His fangs pierced her skin and this time, it was right.

Everything was perfect.

She gasped at the rush of emotions that swelled inside of her and then she felt it. She felt his soul connecting with hers. It was like someone was gently pulling on the strings, tying them together with beautiful bows that would never give away. She felt utterly complete in that moment, with his conscience joining with hers, and she sighed in absolute happiness.

He could feel it, too, rushing through his bones like a crazy desire to love every inch of her. He could feel her in his mind, his wolf yipping for joy, and then he gently retracted his teeth. He cleaned away the blood with tongue kisses and then he kissed her lips.

"Your turn," He whispered.

She didn't need any more invitation, she sat up and her lips instantly connected with his neck. He groaned, falling back onto the bed, pulling her with him, and she attacked his collarbone--searching for the perfect spot. When she found it, she felt the shivers that ran through his body, and she smiled before gently sinking her fangs into his skin.

She didn't know if it was physically possible but she was pretty sure her heart was ready to explode. She continued to taste his skin, long after she had marked him because she couldn't stop and it only drove them closer and closer. A hundred million emotions coursed through their veins in unison, drawing them into a heated dance of passion that would devour them both in its sweet poison.

And they were starving for each other all night.
