When night fell, she knew she was ready.

Cassius was sat against her side as he read through one of his favorite books. She snuggled closer to him on the bed and his eyes briefly flickered down to her with a soft smile. Oh yes, she was so ready to become his and her wolf agreed with an excited howl in her mind. She pushed herself up on her elbows and closed his book.

"What is it, my little valor?"

"I want to..." She trailed off. Mark you, is what she wanted to say, but it felt so intimate to say. She didn't want to rush him if he wasn't ready. They hadn't talked much about completing the mate bond, they simply enjoyed each other and got to know each other's little secrets.

But now, she wanted him. All of him. Forever. Her wolf was more than ready to claim him. She could feel the effects of the full moon swaying her and she wasn't afraid of it. She had felt true love, she knew Cassius truly loved her, and she was going to finish what had been started.

So, without another word, she pulled his face closer and kissed his lips. He didn't protest as he sighed happily against her lips and then he pulled her closer to his chest by her hips. She broke off the kiss and planted a soft kiss on his strong jawline. He groaned when she nibbled his earlobe and then he paused, pulling back for a moment.

"Are you sure you want to?" He asked, eyes searching hers, "You don't have to. I'm more than happy to wait."

"I've waited all my life," She dismissed, "I'm sure."

He didn't need any more words. He only let her kiss down his neck so far before he reversed their positions. His lips were on his skin faster than she could blink. It was as if he was a starving man and he needed to taste every inch of her skin to satisfy his hunger. She was practically light-headed from the rush of emotions that heated her skin.

Somehow, her shirt had risen up and Cassius focused on that area of bare skin. It was all too teasing. He paused when he came across the scars that laid there, crisscrossing in patterns of the evil, but then she gasped when he softly kissed them. Each scar, he gently paid attention to with his lips. Her stomach was lurching and twisting with wild butterflies.

"Your skin is meant to be worshipped," He whispered, the stubble on his chin rubbing against her belly, "Nobody should have ever touched what is mine."

Her heart fluttered at his words. He hadn't said it aggressively, he said it with the overprotective tone of a loving mate. He was wishing he could have saved her from the pain she suffered and she didn't want him to. She didn't know who she would be today if she changed the past. She only wanted to focus on this moment.

A moment that would flurry into passion from a single spark.

She was ready for it and Cassius seemed to sense it. He returned his attention to her neck, peppering soft kisses down to her collarbone. Her entire body shivered when Cassius lightly grazed his teeth along her collarbone and then he planted hot kisses to further entice her.

For someone who had never pleasured a woman before, he was doing a heartstopping job, but that was from her perspective of never having a man. Especially someone who was ever-loving, overprotective in the best way, and so incredibly emotionally intelligent.

God, she was attracted to every aspect of him and her wolf purred with agreement. Their mate was beyond the capability of words explaining him. She could only explain him as perfect. Absolutely perfect in every way. She loved him with every fiber of her being and when she felt the teasing prick of his elongated fangs, she grew excited.
