Hey there everyone! Lils here! So the last chapter was a thing. I figured for this chapter I'd try out some fluff. This might be difficult.
*Colette P.O.V.*
The five of us theorized for hours about what might've happened to the king. I was still really tired, though, and talking about everything he's done to me only made me more tired. I ended up passing out leaning on Reese.
*Reese P.O.V.*
She's adorable. The way she's curled up so close. You'd think after everything she's been through it would be harder for her to trust people.
"Reese, are you paying attention?" Poppy could barely contain her laughter. I had been caught staring at Colette and I knew it.
"Um... Uh..." I struggled to think up a good excuse. "I... I'm just making sure she's okay. She had a really bad nightmare last time she was asleep around us."
"Uh-huh. Sure." I didn't have to look to know Poppy was smirking at me. "If you want us to leave you two alone you just have to ask."
"poPpY! *ahem* I mean... I don't know what you're talking about."
"*giggle* I think you DO know what she's talking about, Reese." Ugh, now Chiso too?
"M-maybe I do, but even if I wanted time alone with her... What about Melnya, huh? I'm sure she doesn't want to leave Colette alone with anyone." I want to find any excuse to ignore my fast heart rate and burning cheeks.
"Oh no. I don't mind at all. Colette is her own person, and obviously, she's comfortable around you." Not. Helping. Melnya.
"I- Uh-Um..." I can't find any other reasons.
"Is Reese having a hard time admitting they like a princess?" Poppy... Don't test me.
"Even i-if I did- Which I DON'T- She's a princess. I'm just a commoner. Sure she's comfortable NOW, but- What about when she fixes this whole mess with her family? She'll be 2nd in line again. And... What business would she have with a commoner?" I'm gonna miss her when all this is over...
I feel something in my lap move. "Reese? You wouldn't be a commoner anymore, I'd have tons of business with you."
"Colette?" My cheeks are suddenly bursting into flames. "H-how long have you been awake?"
"Long enough to hear you talking about nonsense. And for the record... I like you too." She pulls herself up to give me a nice, long hug.
I'm sitting still in shock. Not only did I fall in love with a princess... But she likes me back?!?!

*Colette P.O.V.*
Reese and I decided to go on a date. And... I'm nervous, to say the least. They said to dress nicely, so I did my best. I tried both to look nice and to fit in with the humans.
My hair was styled with most of it in a Toga esque style and my bangs are wavy covering one of my eyes. I'm wearing a cropped long-sleeve sweater with a mini skirt. Underneath my skirt, I put on ripped leggings and furry boots. I also have some fishnets on.
As for my make-up, I have dark red lip-gloss, mascara, and eyeliner.
I walk out of Reese's bathroom and into the living room where I see Reese in all their glory.
They're wearing the poof of hair they have brushed down with a split down the middle and they have an under-cut. They have a button-down shirt with the top three buttons unbuttoned on. They're also wearing leggings and dress shoes and gloves.
"Ready to go?" I think I just almost swooned.
"Y-yes, I am."
Reese grabs my hand and leads the way. The night breeze is a little chilly. I'm glad I'm wearing a sweater.
"So... I know royals have powers... But what about citizens? Do you guys have powers?" I... I suck at small talk.
"Yeah, citizens have powers. I, for example, can control people if some of my DNA enters their body."
"Wow..." That is... Wow... "That's an amazing power."
"Heh, thanks. Wanna know Poppy and Chiso's powers?" Would the two of them be okay with me knowing?
"I don't know... Maybe I should ask them myself."
"Understandable." ...Dang it's kinda quiet... "Hey, I've got a question for you."
"Okay, what's up?"
"How long have you been on Earth for?"
"Since those beasts you call 'Dinosaurs' have been around." Those things were scary.
"Woah..."
The last few minutes of our walk were nice and there was a comfortable silence between us. Then we arrived at this towering palace! It was fit enough for royalty to dine there. There's no way this is where Reese plans on taking me.
"Wow... Reese, this is... This is too much..."
"No way, I want to make sure this is a date that goes down in history. This is the absolute nicest place to eat in the area." Reese... How do you even have enough money for this?
We go into the palace and are immediately seated, I am in awe.

When we get back to the apartment Poppy, Chiso, and Melnya are nowhere to be seen.
"Let's watch a movie on the couch until they come back." Great idea, Reese!
Reese and I fall asleep cuddling each other.
I realize this chapter was short. I'm /really/ bad at writing fluff, but I am trying. The next chapter will either be angst or smut, I haven't decided yet.
