Hey Guys! Lils here. Sooo... Last chapter sucked. That's okie though, this one will make up for it in A N G S T . TW: Paralysis, possession, energy drain, graphic imagery, violence, and loads of angst. If that stuff bothers you then don't read on. You know the drill. I'm writing this having just finished the last chapter. Anyway, enjoy!
*Colette P.O.V.*
The front door creaks open and a blade of light only as thick as a strand of hair pulls me from my deep sleep. I blink a couple times and see Poppy standing there with Chiso, just staring at me and Reese. Creepy. I stand and walk over to them.
"Hey, guys, where'd you go? Where's Mel-"
Poppy stares into my eyes and suddenly I can't move. W-what? Is this her power? She grabs my shoulder and I can feel every ounce of energy, motivation, and purpose leave my body. What do I do? Is she going to hurt Reese?
"There there, Colette, no hard feelings. It's just that your father paid us a visit, and he had some interesting things to say." That look in her eyes... She... She's possessed!
"P-poppy- Please-" My knees give out underneath me. Poppy catches me so as not to make a sound. She lays me on the ground and keeps draining me.
"Oh, Colette, do you really think pleading will stop me?" Suddenly it feels like I'm being drained faster.
"Poppy? What are you doing to Colette?" REESE! HELP ME!
"..." NO! I CAN'T TALK!
"What's it look like?" Poppy's eyes flash and Reese freezes as she goes to run toward me.
"Poppy, what-" Reese starts.
Melnya bursts in through the door "Poppy and Chiso are possessed!"
Poppy quickly paralyzes Melnya too. "Chiso, make sure those two stay quiet. We don't want to attract attention to us."
Chiso walks over to Melnya first. He puts his hand near her throat and hovers his face near hers. Her mouth flies open and a bright purple, glowing, orb shoots out. Chiso opens his mouth and swallows it. He walks over to Reese.
"Chiso, stop. Think about what you're doing." Chiso doesn't even respond to them. He just starts doing what he did to Melnya. "Colette, remember what I told you about my power? I'm sorry, but I'm about to use it." Why are they saying sorry? Reese strains but manages to move despite Poppy having paralyzed them. They reach out and pull Chiso to them, kissing him deeply making sure saliva gets in his mouth. They pull away as soon as they're certain they'll be able to use their power. They then wipe Chiso's mouth juice off of them. "Sorry again, Colette. I needed to to be able to stop him."
"I don't think so." Poppy stops draining me for a moment to go drain Reese. "You won't ruin this."
"P-Poppy-" Reese almost falls, Poppy's draining them fast.
Once Reese is too tired to stand or speak she slaps Chiso so hard all of Reese's saliva flies out of his mouth. Poppy drags Reese over to me so she can drain us at the same time. At this point, I'm fighting to stay awake. Chiso sits and watches, not having anything better to do.
*Reese P.O.V.*
I watch, unable to do anything, as Colette passes out. I try to call out to her, to do anything that could wake her up, but all I can do is lie here. Lie here, and come to the same fate. I'm so tired... "P-Poppy..." My voice comes out weak, low, and quiet. I question for a moment if I even spoke.
"Hmmm? You still have enough energy to speak? Well let's hear it then, are you going to beg for me to stop? Hmmm, or maybe you'll beg to let Colette go in exchange for you? Or maybe, just maybe, you'll beg for more. My power /does/ have a drug-like effect. So? What is it you want to say?" She stops draining me so I can speak.
"P-Pop-py... W-why?" That's all I can manage to get out.
"Why? How about just because? Because it's fun. Because I get to have control over someone else and I enjoy that."
"Wh-what a-re you gonna d-o to us?" I've wasted enough time that Colette has woken up, this is good.
"I don't know yet, I'll think about it while you and you're little girlfriend are sleeping and helpless." She goes back to draining me and Colette. I guess she wants us to be so tired we sleep a long time. "Chiso, start controlling Melnya."
As reality fades out all I can see is Colette helplessly lying there, with no one left to help her.
MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Angst is just way easier for me to write for some reason. Oh well, that was a thing that I did. Next chapter is smut time. I can't believe I just cranked out two chapters in one day AFTER not taking 5 million years to update the book. Anywho, hope you liked that chapter. Have a great day!
