*Reese POV*
I wake up in my Kitten's arms. She's still sleeping? I guess it makes sense. I did fuck the life out of her. I hope she understands her worth now, though she probably doesn't. It'll most likely take a while for her to understand. I get up without waking Colette and grab eggs and milk from the fridge. Then, I grab sugar, flour, baking powder, vanilla, and more sugar from a cabinet and a griddle and pam from another. I mix my ingredients together and begin cooking the mixture.
"Mmmm... Mommy~" Colette stirs in her sleep. I hope she's having a nice dream...
I put the cakes on two plates, drizzle syrup on them, and sprinkle some powdered sugar. I hope she's hungry.
"Nh... Reese?" A sleepy voice calls.
"Good morning, Kitten. I made some breakfast for you." I help her out of the nest and to the dining table. "Eat up"
Her eyes light up "Reese... Thank you!" She gobbles up what's on her plate and I do the same. After that, we help each other get ready for the day.
*BOOM*
"What the..." Colette runs to investigate the noise.
"Wait up!" I chase after her. When we get to the cause we see... What's with this? It doesn't look like a guard ship, this isn't Melnya. It's a noble ship, a chocolate...
"State your business." Colette gathers energy to form a blast. It glows a light blue. Her powers are always so breath-taking...
The hatch opens to reveal a noble chocolate with his hands raised. "I don't mean any harm, Princess."
I step in front of her "She said state your business!".
"Step aside, commoner!" Colette pushes me to the side and holds up her energy threateningly. What did he just call me?
"They are mine! They are no commoner! You will have some respect." She usually doesn't like her status. She must really not like that I was disrespected.
"My apologies, I didn't realize. I have simply come in search for you to deliver some news and seek your aid." Not a great way to get it...
"What news?" Avoiding the apology? Must not want to forgive him yet...
"The king, King Smartie, your father, has left the kingdom to ruin. Even us nobles have been left to fend for ourselves." Shit... Has it gotten that bad?
"And what am I supposed to do? I'm not even living on Suclose anymore." Good point Colette.
"Word has gotten out that you have a man on the inside. A guard?" Yeah, one.
"A man. One. Singular. Again I ask you what I'm supposed to do with that?" It's like we're on the same wavelength~
"One guard isn't enough to overthrow him and you know that. We'd need almost the entire army, navy, airforce, and the royal family." Colette looks at me, shocked I had the guts to speak up.
"How's the entire kingdom?" Not enough.
"You are untrained, correct? Even with the whole kingdom on our side, it's not enough." My thoughts exactly. "And besides, do you even know what's actually going on here? Why your king has suddenly turned evil? Why the queen is no longer keeping him in check?"
"W-well, no... I don't have training... And I don't know why... But you do, don't you? Can't you tell?" She outranks you. Don't forget that.
"Reese, even if I outrank him, he has a right to know why he has been cast aside." "To answer that... Will take a while." Understood.
"I've got time."
"The queen and one of the princesses are possessed. The king might be, but we aren't fully sure...." It's okay, take it slow.
"Wait, another act of war from the demons? How? I thought King Smartie defeated them years ago." Is that what you were told?
"No, he never defeated them"

"So... That's what happened? I can't believe this." The noble gets back in his craft and is about to take off. "Thank you for explaining all of that to me and for proving us nobles right. We always knew the royal family wasn't all bad."
Just as suddenly as he appeared, the noble and his ship were gone. Colette looks sad...
"Let's go inside, Kitten."
"Okay..." I drag my kitten inside
