GREY, GREY WAS THE COLOR THAT STRUCK EVERYONES WORLD——dull, everything else was dull, stuck in that stupid shade of grey.
then, there are people who light up your world, take that grey a way and give life a bigger meaning, people who make the grass greener and the sun shine brighter.
the people who give you a reason to wake up in the morning and make you content with living.
you don't always meet those people, and they don't always stay.
"why did he leave me?" iris asked as she stared up at miles' ceiling, laying on his bed with tears in her eyes,
"i...I don't know iris, I wish I could tell you..." miles whispered, staring at the ceiling as well,
"h-he said... he said it was because he needed a break from everything, because he wasn't in the right state of mind because of what happened to his mom, but miles we could have gotten through it! it would have been okay in the end" she sadly said,
i told him to not lose himself,
that stupid ass really let her go,
he wont find anyone better than her.
"maybe it was on impulse, because of what happened, he clearly wasn't thinking..." miles turned his head to face her,
she sighed before speaking,
"fuck it, give me the vodka" she said as she held her arm out,
"iris, I don't think that is a good idea" miles warned,
she sat up before exhaling and looking fully at him,
"I am a twenty one year old woman who drinks less than people who go to church every sunday, so... give me the vodka before I get it from you myself"
his eyes widened as he stared at her before he held his hands up in surrender as he backed up to get the vodka,
"jesus christ... whatever you say...." he said with raised brows before grabbing the bottle and handing the bottle to her,
she grabbed the bottle and chugged it, not good.

"im tired... so so very tired" miles slurred as he slung the almost empty bottle of vodka in his hand,
"and im not? after dealing with all of you assholes I was tired and now I just got dumped" she said glumly while crossing her arms,
neither of them were technically drunk, they may say stupid shit but they were fully aware of what they were doing along with the fact that they were a bit dizzy, they were just tipsy.
miles took another sip before standing up and walking around, he looked like he was thinking,
"what's wrong?" iris asked as she stared up at him,
he scoffed before replying,
"its always the same with us... you know?" he asked as he looked up at her, he swung the bottle around slightly,
he smiled a bit before licking his lips,
"we are best friends, we're always there for each other... we start dating people, get our hearts broken..." miles trailed off as he walked over to her,
"...we hook up a little bit, and then we start straight back at square one" he said with a small smirk,
she looked away from him while shaking her head,
