get caught in a lie, and you're done.

"i. don't. know." iris said through her gritted teeth, she intently stared at the man sitting across from her.

she was being interrogated by complete jackasses, and so was everyone else—-they each individually sat alone, explaining their stories to the investigators,

"he disappeared a week ago without a trace, no one has seen him, just a month after his girlfriend did in the same. exact. way." the man replied,

"where is he?" the man asked,

"i haven't seen him..." noah said as he looked up at them,

"no one has seen him since that night" jack said to the two men sitting across from him,

"what night?" one of them replied,

"...the night he went crazy" lily said while shaking her head,

"what happened that night?" one of them crossed their arms on the table, leaning forward in their chair,

lily swallowed harshly before beginning,

flashing back to the horrid night that took place just the week before, miles had locked all the doors and windows, closing every blind in the house, scared out of his mind.

the other five were sitting at the table—-watching it all happen, they were too scared to interrupt, maybe say the wrong thing.

the kid was a ticking time bomb.

timothee looked up at miles—-seeing the real danger here; someone diagnosed with bipolar depression refusing to take his meds, now in a manic episode under complete stress.

it was going to get ugly real fast.

"miles you need t—" iris spoke up, but timothee grabbed her hand from across the table,
