THE BUTTERFLY EFFECT—-a myth essentially, in which a small change in time can create a larger effect somewhere else unintentionally,

miles felt like he was stuck in a violent circle of madness, he was losing himself, his charm... everything that made miles the irritating yet loveable and addicting person that he was, was beginning to fade away.

he had already experienced hells awakening, stuck in a never ending loop of insanity when he was just a teenager,

now if what he experienced as a teenager was called hells awakening, then he would consider what he was experiencing now as;

hells seventh circle.

he was losing his fucking mind, each minute, each second, the clocks seemed to be moving slower, in a more taunting manor.

he was so close to being pushed over the edge, he was trying his best to stay tough and grounded for himself, but it wasn't easy.

sometimes ending it all could be easier.

getting out of bed wasn't easy, eating wasn't easy either.

nothing was easy, everything was so hard... he thought he had it all and then it all left so quickly

was he too dependent on lexie? absolutely. did he care? absolutely not.

he wanted to hold her in his arms just one last time,

"miles" he heard a whisper,

he shot his eyes open to see lexie looking over the bed down at him, his eyes widened greatly before he leaned forward,

"lexie?" he asked,

then he blinked and she disappeared, a look of confusion washed over his face almost instantly, he looked to the right and gasped to see her sitting on the bed next to him,

"h-how did you-" he said as he looked at her,

"shhhhh" she silenced him, which he did immediately, they stayed silent for a few moments before he spoke,

"i miss you" he whispered, she tilted her head and looked at him with confusion,

"i'm here right now" she said with a small smile,

"you're not real" he shook his head before shutting his eyes, feeling a small tear escape from one eye,

he opened his eyes to see her frowning, she leaned in to his ear, he felt goosebumps shiver down his body,

"wake up" she whispers,

"what?" he asks,

"wa-"

"wake up!" iris shook his sleeping body, he cracked his eyes opened before flipping over, having his back face her,
