The Last Airbenders

Tea

Aang's POV:
I chased Y/N and she stopped at a fountain. She was crouched down, her hands on her face. I then see an older woman in front of her. "Nidra.." she whispered. I came to the realization.

I sit down next to her and hug her. She didn't seem to notice me, she was crying so much. I cry a little too. I didn't make it, I failed my people. Again.

I then hear something, it sound like a door opening. I immediately start covering Y/N with my body, I can't lose her too.

I look behind me to see an old lady in one of the little houses. Y/N seems to notice her. "Ch-Chiyo?" Y/N asked muttering. The woman nods. Y/N runs out of my hug and runs to Chiyo. Y/N hugs her really tightly and Chiyo hugs back. Chiyo has white hair, it was in a nice bun. She had a white and yellow kimono on. She had a lot of wrinkles but a kind smile.

I walk up next to Y/N. "Hello young avatar. You both must have a lot of questions. Come inside, I'll make us some nice tea." Chiyo said to me and Y/N with a kind smile. Y/N glances at me, I make a 'is it ok' expression. She just nods and follows Chiyo inside. I follow behind.

The house has a fireplace that was made of brick, there is a carpet that is brown. There is a kettle above the fire. There is a table with mats about 6 feet away from the fireplace. (A/N: 6 feet apart people!)

Y/N sits down on one of the mats and I sit across from her. Chiyo is opening a cabinet and reaching out for all the tea. "What kind of tea would you two like?" Chiyo asked with her eyes closed. "I'll just have F/T." Y/N states. She looks miserable, I hate seeing her like that. "What would you like, avatar?" Chiyo asked, I turn my head towards her. "Oh, uuh. I'll have Bai Jiguan tea please." I say with a smile.
She nods her head and starts making tea.

She gave us fluffy blankets while we are waiting for the tea. Y/N looks like a burrito in the blanket, she looks so cute. Except she looks sad, her eyes are puffy and she is covering her mouth and nose with the blanket.

Y/N then speaks up. "The Black Mark people came, didn't they?" She asked glancing at Chiyo. Chiyo just nods her head slowly. Y/N then covers her whole face in the blanket. She starts sobbing. Chiyo gets up and sits next to her, hugging her. "It will be ok, Nidra is so proud of you Y/N." Chiyo says.

"B-But I f-failed her. I failed e-everyone!" Y/N sobbed into Chiyo's hug. Chiyo just hugs her a little tighter. "It's not your fault, you did the best you could. It is all in the past, we can't do anything right now. Let go." Chiyo said. They sit in that hug for a bit.

But if I came here sooner, then they wouldn't be gone. If I didn't leave in the first place they would all be safe!

I forgot where I was and tear ran down my eye. "Are you ok young avatar?" Chiyo asked. Y/N and her weren't hugging anymore, Y/N looked at me with concern and Chiyo looked at me with sad eyes.

"I-I guess I never had t-time to m-mourn. I guess, I j-just feel bad for not making it on time. After running away from the a-air temples, I w-wake up every day f-feeling guilty." I told them, I didn't hold anything back. I couldn't fake a smile anymore. I begin to sob into my hands. Chiyo comes over and hugs me. "You are only a kid... I'm so sorry. You were scared and alone." Chiyo says with a pitiful voice.

The tea was finally done and we all sat there in silence and began to drink some tea.
