Morning In The Cave

The sun hits my face, well our fake sun, it is actually glow stone. The elders say it really makes it look like the outside but I wouldn't know, I've never been outside.

I get up out of bed, my bed was a orange and my pillow is white, my room has a big window with doors on it, I have a dresser, a bookshelf and posters of dragons and paintings. My room color is an egg white and the ceilings is blue with stars on it, since I've never been outside.

I smelled some rice and grilled vegetables,breakfast!

I change into my clothes and brush my hair, I run out of the room toward the dining room.

I saw Nidra setting up the table, Nidra is one of the eldest woman here, her bending got taken away from her when she was 27, she doesn't remember how because she hit her head too hard.

"Good morning Nidra!" I say with a gleeful face.

"Good morning Y/n! How did you sleep?" She asked.

"I slept fine... the dripping of the cave made me crazy, but I tuned it out after a bit." I reply scratching my neck.

Nidra looked at me with a worried face, "I'm sorry to hear that, today is a special day though, I have a surprise for you!~"

I looked at her my eyes wide, "I love surprises!"

She giggles, " Well I must get going now, we will meet at the fountain at 1:00." She says as she walks out the door.

"Bye!" I yell after her.

I sit down and start eating, she teaches the younger kids here, that is why she leaves so early.

I finish eating and walk outside, I don't have any chores to do today! It has been awhile since that happened. I walk around watching the lemurs and bison fly around.

It is pretty big in this place, it is very tall for Airbenders and bison and lemur but it is like a small town, there are big things like museums and libraries.

Speaking of which I am passing one right now, I guess I have time to kill, I run inside, no one was there right now because they are either working or doing school. Most Airbenders like to read (especially me) because most of us are philosophical.
I heard that back then air benders were nomads, I guess that is why they call us air nomads.

I found the book I wanted to read, "The Cave Of Two Lovers" I sighed, "So romantic!" I said loudly but not too loud, I sit down and start to read.

Time Skip

After reading some books I looked at a clock, oh man! I gotta go! I jump up and start running.

Good thing they recently made clocks, down here no one can tell the time, besides the travelers.

I ran to the fountain where I saw my friends Vish, a girl with round glasses, dark skin and beautiful hair. She is 12.
Jani she has curly brown hair and very pale, she is 12.

Pama, she has dark fluffy hair and pale skin, she is 13.

And then Radu, she is a traveler, (a traveler is a Airbender that goes outside of the cave to get necessary things, like seeds to plant food and stuff like that) she has her tattoos, like me, and long dark brown hair, she is 26.

I went to a stop, "Hey guys! What are you doing here?" I asked.

Vish said, "Nidra said for us to be here." Then Jani stepped in and said, "And Radu knows why we are here but she won't tell us!" She said with a pouty face.

I giggle, I reply, "Well we just have to be patien-"
And then I saw Nidra coming.

"Hello girls, you all are even here earlier then me!" She said with a bright smile.

Pama asks, " Why did you want us to come here?"

Nidra and Radu smile to each other, " Well you know how you haven't been outside?" Nidra said. Radu cut in saying, " Today you will be coming with me to get some things!"

It was unbelievable. We all start jumping up and down squealing. Then I stop and say, " It is a real honor! But.. Why?"

Nidra said, "We have been hiding for over a century, it is time we come back out but we are doing little bit at a time, plus it is not healthy for you all to be stuck inside this cave."

I was so excited! I've never been outside before, I can't wait!
