Elsie POV

I looked at my reflection in the mirror, caressing my baby bump that was visible now. It was four months now. I couldn't imagine a day like this will come.

My condition with Dexter wasn't good since the night we talked. It has been two weeks since then. I tried not to let anything related to him to disturb my mind.

"Mommy, can I enter?" Andrea's voice penetrated my eyes. I averted my eyes to the door.

"Come in, princess," I answered her immediately. The next second, the door being pushed from outside and she peeked her head looking around the room, trying to spot me as the mirror was a bit hidden from the door.

"I'm here," I called out for her attention.

"I found you, mommy." She appeared in front of me with her toothy grin.

"What it is, princess? Have you done with your drawing?"

"Done, mommy. I will show you later, okay?"

"Okay, I'm sure you did a great job." I pinched her cheeks, causing her to giggle. "Are you hungry?" I asked her.

"No, mommy." She rubbed her eyes and I'm aware of the meaning of that action.

"Can I take a nap in your room, mommy?"

"Of course you can, princess. Come, let's put you to sleep." I grabbed her small hand, brought her to the bed and she immediately crawled on the bed. She moved to the side a bit, giving me enough space to lay beside her.

"Will you stay with me here, mommy?"

"Don't worried about that. Mommy needs some rest too. Come on now, close your eyes and I will be right here." I patted her back, knowing that it will help her to sleep easier.

Not long after that, I noticed she was in her deep slumber with her lips pouted cutely. A smile lingered on my face as I studied her face. I became fond of her day by day and I wondered if I could live without her. She gave me strength when everything turned upside down.

I couldn't sleep after rolling on the bed for a while. I grabbed my phone and stood from the bed, standing near the balcony. My eyes suddenly caught something in the backyard. Dexter was there with a couple.

What are they doing here? He never brought anyone back home, especially those who deal with him at work. And, who is the woman sitting next to him?

I narrowed my eyes, observing them closely. Seriously, I don't like the woman beside him. I noticed how that woman gave him the flirtatious look when the guy didn't pay attention. I immediately sprinted to the door, making my way downstairs. Alex was there near the door, talking to one of the guards.

"Alex," I called for his attention.

"Hi, Elsie, what's up?"

"Who are those people in the backyard? No one informs me that we have guests today."

"They are talking about business. It won't be a long time."

"That's strange. He never brought anyone to the mansion if it is related to business. It's okay, I got a negative feeling about this. I need to be there." Before he could say anything, I cut him off and leave to the backyard.

Dexter didn't notice me as he was sitting on a chair with his back facing me. I slowly approaching them, causing them to stop whatever discussion. They all turned to look at me. I sat on Dexter's lap, straddling him, ignoring the shocked look on his face and the eyes of the couple that kept gazing at me. I pecked him on the lips before turning around to face the guy that sat across from him.
