Elsie POV

I can't stop thinking about the incident in the mall. I tried to think of the best way to solve it but ended up thinking that giving them the video will be the only way to avoid anyone from getting hurt. I couldn't trace the countless sighs that escaped from my lips since we came back from the mall. If only I could turn back the time and didn't step out of the mansion.

Decided to put aside the issue, I searched for the top tank that helped me to drift into my dreamland last night but to no avail. I scratched my head, trying to recall if I misplace it somewhere. I didn't realize it wasn't in my room. Probably, the maid took it to wash.

"Damn, don't tell me I will suffer from another episode of the sleepless night again." I sat on the bed in frustration.

"We need to solve this issue, right baby Anderson?" I rubbed my belly talking to little Anderson.

Without wasting any time, I pushed myself from the bed and strode out from the room to Dexter's room. I knew he wasn't at home. I headed directly to his wardrobe with no intention to turn on the light, this time I chose a blue top tank. Then, I casually walked to the place where my favorite perfume was.

"Where it is? I need it badly." I screeched, losing my patience.

Flipping a few bottles of perfumes on the glass display, I squealed as I finally saw the one that I want.

"Love?"

At the moment the voice hit my eardrum, I jumped, and it caused me to lose the grip on the bottle of the perfume. It slips from my hand and dropped on the floor. I spun around, taking a glimpse of him.

"I- I just.." I trailed off, couldn't finish the sentence. I gazed at it with sad looks, the tears immediately wet my cheeks. I sat on the floor looking at the broken cologne as if I just lost something valuable.

"Hey, don't cry love. I'm not mad at you."

"No, I want that perfume. Look at what you have done." I lost my control and cried like a little girl on the floor at the same time trying to reach the broken perfume but before I could do so, a pair of hands stopping me.

"Hey, don't touch it, love. It will cut your hand." He stopped me, gripping my hands with his strong arm. He was now kneeling beside me. The concerned looks on his face didn't go unnoticed.

"Calm down, love. We will solve this, okay?" One of his hands touched my cheek, he then pulled me into his embrace. I could feel the movement of his hand at my back, silently soothing me.

I buried my face in the crook of his neck. I sobbed louder, not sure the reason behind it. I'm aware that he adjusted his position on the floor while pulling me closer, making me sat on his lap with my hands wrapping his neck and my legs clutched on his hip.

After a while, I finally calm down. Realizing that I sat on his lap, I released my hand and wanted to stand up, but he wouldn't allow me to do so.

"No, stay like this." He begged, his voice melted me in a way that I can't describe.

I stayed on his lap, turning down my face looking at my own hands as I was aware that my face must be in a deep red shade by now due to the breakdown earlier which was now replaced by blush.

"I'm sorry for entering your room."

"You don't have to be sorry for that. This is your room too. But, what I want to know now is, why are you taking my top tank and the perfume?"

His hands snaked around my waist, supporting my body. I stayed quiet, debating if I should tell him the reason.

"Look at me, love. I miss you so much. Let me have a look of your face." With that, he lifted my face gently and making me stare at him. This time, I follow my feeling and didn't protest. I followed his motion and turn my gaze, staring deep into his eyes.

"Can I have my answer now?" His voice was gentle, and it was like a spell that makes me submit to him.

"I have a few sleepless nights until I figure out that I can't sleep without the scent. I don't know why I'm acting like this." I couldn't help but pout.

One side of his mouth lifted into a semblance of a smile. I got to admit I loved the way he stared into my eyes. It made me an unfamiliar feeling haunted me, but it was a nice feeling.

He suddenly stood up from the floor and my hands spontaneously wrapped around his neck, tightening the grip. He strode to the bed and sat on it, we were in the same position but this time with the bed beneath us.

"Don't worry about the perfume. We can solve that." He chided, making me look at him with a curious look.

"How?" I blurted out.

"Sleep here with me tonight?"

"Is that an offer?" I questioned.

"You can consider it that way."

"If I say no, will you force me?"

I noticed a hint of disappointment in his eyes, but he tried to hide it.

"No, I won't do that. I just want you to have a good rest and sleep without any problem. That's all, love. I won't do anything to you, not even touching you if you want me to do so." He loosened his grip. I started to felt uneasy and before he moved further, I wrapped my arms and my legs tightly around him, clutching onto him like he will vanish if I let go.

"No, please. Don't let go. Please, stay like this for a while." I don't care about anything else. I rested my head on his shoulder, inhaling his scent.

I could feel his body tense at first due to my sudden confession but soon he responded to me, returning my hug willingly.

"It's a yes then." I heard him mumbled in a low tone. A smile finds its way to my face but, I refused to make it noticeable.
