Elsie POV
After a few months
"Dex..Dexter!" I screamed from the bathroom as I noticed something odd. It only took a while for him to appear in front of me.
"Is that pee? Why are you-"
"That's not pee, silly. My water broke." I could feel sweats started to cover my face.
"What water? What does that mean?"
"You silly! It's time! Bring me to the hospital!" I screamed as the pain started to kick in.
"Oh, shit. What should I do now?" I heard him mumbling in panic.
"Dexter, before I shoot you, bring me to the hospital!" I have the urge to kick his ass right now while holding onto the pain that I can't describe. He made me lost control.
"Alright, don't kill me. I still need to see the baby." He lifted me and carried me in his arms, increasing his pace to the car.
"Daddy, what happens to mommy?"
"Little Anderson wants to come out. We need to rush to the hospital. Come, get in the car." Andrea ran to the car, seated next to me. I tried my best not to scream. Dexter occupied the front seat, next to the driver.
"Make sure you drive fast but safe." He reminded the driver. I closed my eyes, holding in the pain.
"Don't stop, just drive through it." He commanded the driver at the moment he stopped when the red light was shown.
"But, boss-"
"Just follow as I said, no car is there. Now, go." He turned his head to both sides making sure it was safe and the driver followed as he said.
"The police will come after us later, daddy." Andrea noticed about it.
"Daddy will deal with it later, princess. We need to rush mommy to the hospital. We don't have time for this fucking traffic light."
"Watch your language."
"Damn it, no, I mean sorry. Why am I so panic? Shit!"
"Dex..dexter."
"Alright, sorry."
"Drive faster. I can't hold it anymore." I screamed, couldn't hide it anymore as the pain seems to double.
"Sure, sure. Don't scream, love. You made me panic. I can't focus on driving." I turned to the back, looking at her.
"You're not driving, daddy." Andrea reminded me of the fact that almost make me facepalm myself.
"Damn it! What am I talking about right now? Drive faster!"
Dexter POV
After a few minutes, we finally arrived at the hospital. The nurses around the entrance noticed our presence, and they helped her to the bed. Without wasting any time, they pushed her to the delivery room and I waited outside with Andrea. I can't help but get worried about her condition. Well, it was our first time.
"How long mommy will be inside the room, daddy?"
"I'm not sure about that, princess. Hopefully, it won't be a long time, and we can meet them soon." I said more to myself.
"Do you think it will be a boy or a girl?"
"That's a surprise for us. We will know about it very soon. What do you wish for? A little brother or a sister?"
"Hmm, maybe a little brother, but I like a little sister too. Can we have both, daddy?"
I chuckled hearing her request. "We can't have two for now because there is only one in mommy's tummy. We need to wait for the next one, probably next year." Talking to her makes me less nervous.
Soon, we were distracted by Dr.Derrick that came out from the delivery room. The smile that covered his face somehow convinced me that I have nothing to worry about.
"How is it?"
"She did a very good job. Both baby and mommy in good condition. You can meet her later in the room. We will move her to the normal room. The nurse will let you in once it's done."
It felt like the heavy burden being lifted away from my shoulder, instantly a heavy breath escaped my lips. Andrea shook my hands, asking for my attention.
"Daddy, can we meet mommy now?"
"Let's go, princess. I'm sure mommy is missing daddy now."
I noticed she rolled her eyes with my answer which made me chuckle while gazing at her.
"Mommy loves me more, daddy. You will always be the last one."
"Uh-huh, why?"
"Because you're old." She covered her mouth with her palm, giggling at her own words.
"What did you say?" I lifted her up and tossed her in the air, causing her to giggle more.
"Mr. Anderson, the room is ready. You can meet your wife now."
We both turned to look at the source of the voice.
"Great! Thanks!"
With Andrea in my arms, I walked to the room that was pointed out by the nurse. Pushing the door with one arm, a figure was noticeable on the bed. She opened her eyes by the time she heard the door being pushed.
"Love, you did a great job." I kissed her forehead.
"Yes, mommy. You did a great job!" Andrea mimicking me. We both laughed hearing her words.
"Thank you, princess." She caressed her face while I gently placed her beside Elsie.
"Mommy, where is little Anderson?" Andrea asked with excitement.
"Oh, now you forget about mommy already." She feigned a sad face.
"You are always number one, mommy but I want to meet little Anderson."
"Soon, princess."
The knock on the door suddenly disturbed their interaction. Not long after that, a nurse entered the room with a baby carrier. Andrea noticed it and her excited voice echoed in the room.
"Is that the baby?"
The nurse brought the petite figure in her arms to Elsie. She helped to place the baby next to her.
"In my team or your team?" I blurted out, looking at the cute little figure.
"It's your team."
"Yes, I told you. I can feel that it's a boy." I sat near the bed, carefully touching his soft cheek for the first time. She passed to me and without hesitation, I carried him in my arms.
"Hey there, buddy. I'm your daddy. Glad that we're in the same team." I cooed, kissing his cheeks.
"Can I touch him too?" Andrea sat on my lap, admiring her little brother with full of interest.
"Of course, you can hold him too. Come, let daddy help you out."
"Come," She opened her arms, ready to hold her little brother. I then placed our baby boy in her arms, support by a pillow on the bed.
"He is so cute. I have a brother now." She was giggling. Then, she lowered her head and showered him with kisses all over his face. "What is his name?"
"Oh yeah, the name. We haven't talked about it yet. Do you have anything in your mind, love?"
"Nope at this moment. Let's put that on hold first. We need to think about it carefully."
"Alright, we will figure about it later."
"Hello, brother. You're so small." I shared the look with Elsie, noticing the interaction of Andrea and little Anderson. A smile spread on our faces. I mouthed 'I love you' and winked at her, causing her to smile wider.
"He touched my face," Andrea squealed in surprise when the small hand accidentally touched her face. Her expression was precious.
We were in the room until the nurse came to bring the baby back to the nursery room. It was one of the happiest days in my life; a memorable day that surely will be remembered.
