~RECAP~

"I am as shocked as everyone in this room. Its impossible for a dead person of 10hours, 47minutes and 33seconds to be alive." The Doctor said.

Unknown POV

Everyone in the room remained stuck as we looked at Violet in shock.

"Ughhh stop staring. Its rude." She groaned and fell backwards on the bed.

We all were shocked as we looked at this 'once dead girl'

"So I guess I didn't die." She said looking at Ace with different emotions running through her eyes.

"You didn't." Ace said, stood up and placed her hands in his.

"Wow! I wish I did." She said shocking everyone more.

"Wish you did what?" Ace asked confused.

"I wish I died. I'm so tired of this... everything. I'm so frustrated. I just want it to end. The wails and cries keep following me. You know, I wish I never woke up. Not like anyone ever cared though. I just-"

"Stop. Please stop." Mike said as he sat at the edge of the hospital bed.

She nodded negatively and couldn't speak. Her mouth was dry as she vigorously wiped her tears.

"Can you give us a minute?" Mike asked the doctor and the Phoenix couple.

"Sure. Just a few check ups." The doctor said still shook as he proceeded with the check ups.

He left the ward with Violet's parents. We were all awestruck, waiting for the first person to talk.

"Let me start with this; I'm sorry." Violet said, heaved a sigh and buried her head into her hands.

"Me too. I'm sorry for being insensitive. I'm sorry for pouring my anger on you. I'm sorry for keeping secrets." Ace said breathlessly.

"I'm sorry for not being a superglue... to hold us together." Mike said with a small smile.

"No more secrets?" Violet asked.

"No more." Mike and Ace said with sad smiles.

"I was angry because-"

Ace heaved a sigh and cringed. Mike placed an encouraging hand on Ace back while Violet firmly placed her hand on his.

"My sister, Queen. She has lung cancer. She decided to keep it away from me because she didn't want me wasting money on treatment."

"She's just like you. She's independent and strong. But she's stupid. She wants to throw her life away because she thinks its waste of money." Ace said as he gritted his teeth.

"Seeing you lifeless made me feel like I was gradually sinking. When she-"

"When she- sh-she di-dies... how am I supposed to feel?" He asks his bestfriends.

"That day, I was so angry because the doctor said she has three months left. I felt angry because she seemed eager for it."

"I know I sound selfish right now but don't you think Queen's more selfish for wanting to leave me?"

"She has eyes like yours, stature like yours so when I heard your voice I was so mad. All that kept on ringing in my head was...

"There's no use treating it. Let's just spend the last few days together."

"You can go back to California. I am fine. You already spent the whole summer with me."

"Your mom knows about it." He said looking at Violet.

"Remember in the office, when she asked me to update her. Yeah, she wanted to help but Queen refused."

"What about your parents?" Violet asked as she drew stars on his palm.

He chuckled deeply,"They told me to sort it out myself."

Seemed like talking about his parents  was a sore topic for Ace so Mike wisely changed the topic.

"Violet? Tell Ace." Mike said passing an encouraging smile to her.

"I was diagnosed with Quiet Borderline Personality Disorder (QBPD) at thirteen when I lost my bestfriends. Amelia and Andrew. Was my fault. I left them drive while they were drunk." She said playing with the hem of the bed spread.

"I went to Ohio for relief but I-"

Violet placed her hands on her head as she gasped for breath.

Mike and Ace quickly got a Doctor to attend to her.

The Doctor said she was having an ache in her head but after that, he engaged in an intense conversation with her parents.

Ace took a seat and researched on QBPD.

After two hours of reading on it, he was shocked. His heart sank as he read through it again.

He looked to his side and Mike was sleeping but still looking restless as he slept.

He checked his phone for the time and he saw

He went to Violet's room and took a seat next to her. Studying her for a long time.

Sleep finally came and he climbed her bed and slept next to her.

After a few minutes, she snuggled into Parker's chest and he wrapped his huge hand around her waist and his other hand patted her hair until he fell asleep.

All that was heard in the room was the faint sounds of their breath.
