~RECAP~

"But when I saw you, I saw her. I saw her sad eyes... begging me. Pleading with me. I couldn't help it. A part of me wanted her away from me for life but the other part is stronger." I said and sobbed.

"I shouldn't have reacted that way. I know. I was wrong but I felt the need to let out the pain."

~ACE~

"Violet please, tell me its a joke, smack my head, taunt me. Please! Don't leave me. I want you back. I want to hear your voice, to see you smile. Damn Violet. I fucking love you!" I screamed.

I heard what I just said and clasped my free hand over my mouth. Did I just say I love her? What if someone heard me?

As all those thoughts flowed into my head, I felt some movement from my hand.

I didn't move.

Then who did?

Violet?

I ran out of the room like a mad man.

"Doctor! Doctor! She moved! She freaking moved. She's alive." I screamed as I got to the hallway.

Everyone tried to rush into the room but we all got ushered out by a nurse while the medical personnel walked in.

I watched from the window ad they all hovered around Violet. The Doctor whispered to one of the nurses and she nodded slowly as they all left her room.

"Can I have a word with you all please?" The Doctor asked as he ushered us into his office.

I noticed Mr. Phoenix was here but Sage wasn't. Mrs. Phoenix sniffled and her husband patted her affectionately.

"I'm really sorry for our loss." The Doctor started looking at the four of us.

Me, Mike and Mr. and Mrs. Phoenix.

"After death, there may still be a few shudders or movements of the arms or legs." He said and sighed.

"There could even be an uncontrolled cry because of muscle movement in the voice box. Sometimes there will be a release of urine or stool, but usually only a small amount since so little has probably been eaten in the last days of life." He said shocking us all.

"What you saw there, was just.." He trailed off.

"Should we remove the life support?" He Doctor asked.

"No. Hell no. No one... I repeat, no one.. is taking her off the life support. Am I clear?" I asked as I took predatory steps to the Doctor.

"Yes. Yes sir." The Doctor said confused.

Mrs. Pheonix mumbled incoherent things through her hands and choked on her sobs. Her husband tried to calm her down but no avail.

He also sniffled quietly, tears threatening to spill from his eyes but he tried to suppress them but failed miserably.

Streams of tears flowed faster than my heartbeat as I walked into Violet's room.

I studied her features. He brown eyes that pierced into my soul, her small nose, her succulent and plump lips.

I studied each curve of her body. Her beautiful long neck. Her flawless cheeks, her long brown wavy hair. Reminiscing the little time I had with her before I finally let go.

"Do you actually love me?" A voice asked.

"Do you?" I looked at Violet as her long lashed fluttered open with tears of pain running down her cheeks.

I looked at her in awe as deep emotions stirs with no other outlet but through my long-lasting sobs.

"She's awake! She is." I sobbed.

"Yeah sure, she's awake. Look at her very well Ace, she's up." My subconscious mocked me.

I walked to the side of her bed only to see her in peace.

She said nothing!

"Obviously, you're going crazy. Hearing voices."

I'm very sure I had the harshest and most cruel subconscious.

I looked at her as tears spilt over and flowed down my face like a river escaping a dam.

She's gone!

"I am the reason she's gone. I pushed her to the wall. I said hurtful things to her, I pushed her to her limits emotionally. I made her feel worthless. I told her to stay away from my damn life.."

"And now she's gone."

"Forever. From your life."

A solemn tear fell down my cheek; my body looked calm compared to how tangled my mind was.

"Why am I here?" Violet asked as she sat up and looked at me.

"Which type of 3d imagination do I have." I said and groaned as Violet flicked my head and said,

"Quit talking to yourself will you? So why are we here?" She asked me.

Her soft gaze left my face and landed on Mike was standing there frozen.

"Mike come here please." She said beckoning Mike.

"Mike can you see her or its just my imagination?" I asked Mike.

"We can all see her Ace." Mr. Phoenix said looking shocked to the core.

"You can?" I asked wanting to be sure.

"I think I'm gonna squeal." Mike finally said still rooted to the spot.

"Why are you all acting weird? Especially you Ace? Have you been crying?" She asked as she wiped a tear off my face.

"I am as shocked as everyone in this room. Its impossible for a dead person of 10hours, 47minutes and 33seconds to be alive." The Doctor said.

Moans escaped my lips through the suppressed sound of hiccups as I passed out.

SHE IS ALIVE
