I took a deep breath and knocked on the door.
"Come in." Mom said from the other end as I placed my hand on the door knob and shifted my weight from one foot to the other and finally opened the door.
"Baby, do you need anything?" Mom asked as she dropped her laptop and turned to me as I hummed quietly to myself.
"Okay then. Sit." She ordered as I fidgeted with my hair and swayed slightly where I was standing.
I glanced around the room and refused to make eye contact mom as she stared at me.
Here goes nothing.
"Mom, I want to go to Ohio." I said chewing on my lips.
"Why Ohio?" Mom asked with a slight frown.
"I want to get away from here and I also want to be where she loved." I said as I looked at mom squarely.
She sighed and said,"What about school?"
"There are schools in Ohio." I snapped.
"On one condition." Mom said and smirked.
"That is?"
"You must go for therapy, you must take your drugs, you must stay for exactly three months, bodyguards will be with you and if you relaspe once, you come back to California."
"That's like five conditions." I whined.
"I know." She said mocking me.
"I also have my conditions mom." I said and she looked at me shocked.
"No bodyguards. Instead, Sage is following me." I said and she visibly shrunk.
"Why?"
"You trust her. We both know she would take good care of me and make sure I eat and all those crap." I said expecting an answer from mom. She seemed to be battling with herself on whether or not Sage should come with.
"Fine." She said and picked up her laptop signalling the end of the conversation.
I walked out of her room beaming as I walked to Sage's room. I honestly do not know why mom decided to buy such a big house when we were only five in the house. It was suppossed to be Mom, Dad, myself, Sage and Clara. Clara was our maid.
She's 5'1, brown skinned with pale green eyes and smooth black hair reaching her mid back. My mom pays the bills of all her workers. She pays for Clara's school and still gives her salary of a thousand dollars every month.Mom takes a special liking to Clara maybe because she is a girl and she is still in school. Dad hasn't come home for two weeks now. Not that he was always at home, but at least in two weeks he comes home once.
Maybe he was avoiding me after my outburst. I walked into Sage's room. All our rooms were designed by mom. She always made sure we weren't lacking.
I'm very sure if I did a charity and gave out fifty percent of my clothes, the other fifty percent is like two hundred people's closet. That was how much my clothes were.
Sage's room was spotless, and yes, Sage is the neat freak of the family. Her white walls perfectly contrasting her black bed spread.
"Who uses black bedspread?" I thought and chuckled.
Sage finally noticed me and gasped. She had been so engrossed in picking something to wear from her closet. The placed her hand on her chest and said,"Ah! It's just you. You scared me."
"I'm sorry. Didn't mean to." I said trying to stifle my laughter.
"So what do you want?" She asked sweetly as she walked into her closet. Her closet was organised. From bags, to clutches, purses, jewerly, shoes, bikins, boots, sweaters, sleeveless, gowns, mention it. It was all in her closet.
