The Distant Dark Tide

Rain poured outside the window of team RWBY's dorm, as Y/N's eyes slowly opened up. He looks around, seeing Ruby cuddled to his side, and the others still asleep. He leans his head back on his pillow, taking a breath out.

"Guess I'm awake first... wonder what we've got in store today..."

Y/N slowly starts to rise up, before being tugged back down, completely forgetting Ruby was sleeping beside him.

"Well... whatever I was going to do is now out the window. Gonna have to wait until Rubes wakes up."

Y/N looks at Ruby, then at the door, then at Ruby, and then back at the door.

"Actually..."

Y/N teleports, as Ruby's head falls onto his pillow. He reappears at the door, smiling, and skips to the bathroom.

"And now... I will be off to Vale."

After a few minutes, Y/N walks out the bathroom, and grabs his cloak. Sprinting out the door, and passing Ozpin, who looks at him surprised.

"See ya later Oz! I'm going out for lunch!"

Y/N takes a hard turn, exploding a nearby wall, and shaking the academy. Ozpin sips his mug, and nods.

"And I seem to forget how troublesome he is." He remarks, walking to the medbay.

[Off in Vale]

"Alright... and will that be all sir?"

Y/N nods. "Yeah. Thank you."

The woman smiles, and walks off, as Y/N takes his burger and bites into it.

"Oh my god, I forgot how fast food tastes!"

"That woman was kinda cute..."

"Is that all you think about?"

Y/N swallows his bite, and sighs. "Listen, as much as I love having company, you guys aren't the kind of company I'd want."

"You know you love us."

"You mean love himself."

"Shut up."

"Idiot."

"You're the idiot."

Y/N finishes his burger, and grabs his soda. "Yeah yeah, you're all idiots. Now listen, you guys have anything in mind? I'm kinda bored, and I don't wanna go back to Beacon."

The door of the restaurant rings, as a familiar person walks in, being none other than Nick.

"Yo."

Nick waves. "Hey man. So... Hades sent me."

Y/N frowns. "Is he asking for a rematch? Cause I kinda run on a motto... GG, EZ, no RE."

Nick shakes his head. "Nah. He's telling you to head to the ocean between Atlas and Vale."

Y/N set's his cup down. "And... for what exactly?"

Nick summons a root beer can, and pops it open.

"His brother wants to face you."

Y/N chugs the rest of his soda, before setting it down. 

"Alright, I might have something to do!"

Nick nods. "Yeah. I think if you beat this dude, you'll have to face their other brother."

Y/N shrugs. "Never backed down from a challenge so far."

The woman walks past the two, before her eyes widen.
