The First Test

Y/N woke up to a Orange haired girl yelling good morning to a guy with black hair, while also having pink streaks in it.

"It's morning, it's morning, it's morning, it's moooooooorning!"

Y/N shakes his head. "I forgot it's initiation... I was planning to sleep in."

"Well you can't Y/N!"

Y/N looks up to see Ruby, who was all dressed and ready to fight.

Y/N sighs. "I know I can't... But still, I wish."

Ruby shakes her head. "Well today's the day we do initiation! I think it's gonna be great!"

Y/N nods. "Well... If it's grimm related, then I'll be fine."

Ruby then holds her hand out. "Well, we gotta go get our weapons!"

Y/N points beside him, where both his weapon, and his cloak lay next to him.

"Oh...Well, you still got to go to the locker room."

Y/N shakes his head. "I'll be there when I'm ready Ruby."

"Okay Y/N, just don't be late!"

Y/N chuckles, and stands up. "Well, I won't be late, cause I'll beat you there."

Y/N then took his cloak and sniper, then teleported to the cliff, where Ozpin was standing.

"Mr. L/N, how was your first night here at Beacon?"

Y/N shrugs. "I just wish I could've slept in is all."

Ozpin chuckles. "I wouldn't be surprised if you wanted to."

Y/N smiles. "Yup! Also," Y/N looked off the cliff. "What exactly are we doing?"

Ozpin takes a sip from his mug. "You guys are going to practice landing strategies, from there, after being launched of this cliif. You will have to find a teammate, if you find one, that person will become your teammate for the rest of your time here, and the next 4 years. You also will have to grab a chess piece down inside a temple, within the forest. Come back in one piece, and you will be graded."

Y/N nods. "Sounds pretty easy." He then points to the last sqaure. "Do I stand on this one?"

Ozpin nods. "And Glynda, "He turns to Glynda, who had just started walking here. "I need you to call the students for their initiation."

[Minutes Later...]

"For years, you have trained to become warriors, And today, your abilities will be evaluated in the Emerald Forest."

Glynda then nods. "Now, I'm pretty sure many of you have heard rumors about the assignment of teams. Well... Allow us to put an end to your confusion."

Y/N smiles. "Nice."

"Each of you will be given teammates... Today.

You turn to your left, to see Ruby whimpering.

"Oh shoot, I forgot Ruby wasn't very social..." Y/N face palmed.

Ozpin then took a sip from his mug. "These teammates will be with you for the rest of your time here at Beacon. So it is in your best interest to be paired with someone with whom you can work well."

Ruby then whimpers again.

"That being said, the first person you make eye contact with after landing will be our partner for the next 4 years."

Ruby then looks like her world had just broken.
