The golden sun shined brightly this morning on Remnant. The leaves were beginning to grow, as Ruby stood on the cliff, above a grave, staring off into the distance. Ruby takes off her hood, and looks at the grave of her late mother.

"Hey mom. Sorry I haven't come by in a while. Things have been... Well, things have been pretty busy... Oh! Dad's here too! He's, you know... dad. He's still teaching at Signal, but he told me he's going to be going out on some mission soon. I think he misses adventuring with you..."

Ruby looks down, rubbing her arm.

"Haven't gotten kicked out of Beacon yet! So that's cool. I think being on a team with Yang helps. I keep her in line... that was a joke. She's actually a really great fighter, you can tell she's learned a lot from Dad. Well, so are Weiss and Blake, they're my teammates! I also met Y/N, and he's super cool, and... u-uhm... Y-yeah, he's just cool. W-well, he's not just cool, he's like... U-um... he- uh... He's..."

Ruby covers her face with her hands, her face slowly turning to a bright red.

"I'm glad he's not here for once, but yeah. Y/N is well... Y/N. And, we're Team RWBY, if we don't put Y/N's name in it... and yes, before you ask, that does cause a lot of confusion. Anyways, uh, I made a bunch of new friends, and I met some... let's just say, odd teachers. Oh! We've also stopped some bad guys too! I guess it's like they say: Like mother, like daughter."

Ruby smiles, but then starts thinking back to when she and Y/N first came into Beacon.

"I still wonder why Ozpin let me and Y/N into Beacon early. But uh, I guess he'll tell me one day. You know how he is. It's funny, the more I get to know him, the more he starts sounding like Uncle Qrow."

A bark comes from the back, as Ruby looks back to see Zwei, and her dad, Taiyang.

"Oh! Look's like Dad's back. I gotta go! He's dropping me off at Beacon for the tournament match before he goes on his next mission! Wish me luck!"

Ruby puts her hood on, and runs towards Zwei and her dad, before looking back at Summer's grave.

"It was good to talk."

Ruby, Zwei, and Taiyang head off, as Y/N jumps from a tree, and walks towards the grave. Y/N #2 flies out, as Y/N sits down, looking in the distance. Y/N #2 smiles, as a slow little gust of wind blows on his right.

"Huh, seems like you're quite the inspiration for her, you know?"

"Yes, I know Y/N."

Y/N #2 looks to his right, as he see's a spiritual version of Summer, who was smiling.

"You know, that last mission was quite a bummer."

Summer laughs. "Yeah, I guess it was. I mean, if you didn't die the first time, then I probably wouldn't have went on it alone."

Y/N #2 smiles. "Yeah, I guess. It's kinda your fault for not listening, you know?"

"Wha- no! That's all your fault! We could've just left, and everything would've been fine!"

Y/N #2 shakes his head. "I don't think so, cause you know she'd go to Beacon, and probably destroy it."

Summer sighs. "You're not wrong, I guess. But, still..."

Y/N #2 chuckles, and pats Summer's head, surprising her. She smiles.

"I don't get how you keep getting me with that."

Y/N #2 smiles. "I don't know. Maybe you're, falling for me?"

Summer smiles. "Well, I wasn't gonna fall for you."
