Rude Awakening

Y/N was sitting, looking out the hole in the wall, while listening to music. A tap came to his shoulder, in which he removed his headphones, seeing Yang, who was standing over both him, and Ruby.

"I think that's enough for you."

Y/N raises an eyebrow. "Uhh... What're you talking about?"

"My turn to provide night shift! You've been up all night, and the day too! Plus..." Yang looks at Ruby. "She won't be happy if you're sleeping while she's awake."

"Nah... She'll be fine."

Yang shakes her head. "Oh ho, believe me. She goes nuts when you're not here."

"Well..." Y/N looks at Ruby, then back at Yang. "You sure you don't wanna get some more sleep in?"

She shakes her head. "I'm good on sleep, but you need some sleep."

Y/N shrugs. "Alright..."

Y/N takes off his cloak, wrapping it around Ruby like a blanket, before sweeping her up, and carrying her to Yang's sleeping bag. He lays her down, and looks at Zwei, who was staring at him.

"Sup furball, what you need?"

"Woof woof woof. (I heard something.)"

Y/N raises an eyebrow. "Is that so?"

Zwei nods, before closing his eyes, and laying next to Ruby. Y/N chuckles, and puts his head phones on. He leans back, and sips from his coffee mug, looking out a little window. He looks at Ruby, and smiles.

"She's gonna kill me for staying awake..."

[About 2 hours later]

Zwei's ear twitches, before he sits up, barking, waking Ruby, and making Y/N look at Zwei in confusion.

"What is it furball?"

Zwei runs out, with both Ruby and Y/N looking at each other, before looking out the door. The two sneakily sneak out, and follow Zwei, who was taking a leak by a broken building.

Ruby sighs. "Zwei, we're in a wasteland. You could've done that anywhere!"

Y/N chuckles. "Well, Zwei's a man of taste."

"Woof Woof (Yes sir.)"

"What was that?"

Y/N and Ruby hide behind a little broke piece of wall, holding Zwei.

"What was what?"

Y/N and Ruby peek out, to see two White Fang members.

"I thought I heard a Beowolf or... something."

"Let's just finish our patrol, and get back to base."

"This place gives me the creeps."

Ruby and Y/N look at each other.

"Should we follow them?"

Y/N shrugs. "Why not?"

Ruby starts sneaking behind the White Fang members, while Zwei and Y/N follow, walking in the open. They follow the two White Fang members to a corner. Ruby peeks out, before losing her balance, and falling backwards, being caught by Y/N.

"Watch your step next time Cookie Monster." Y/N looks down to Zwei. "Did they go in yet furball? One bark means yes."

"Woof. (Yes)"

Y/N smiles. "Well..." Y/N takes out his scroll. "Time to get the others."

Y/N begins to call Yang, but a "low signal" warning appears on his scroll.
