Dance Night

Ruby, bored, and sad at the same time, was currently sitting at a table. She wasn't feeling it today, but was forced to go with her team to the dance, while they were planning, since they needed help. Weiss slams her hands on the table, causing Ruby to jump in surprise, and snap out of her thinking bubble.

"I need you to pick a tablecloth."

Ruby looks at both of the tablecloth's, which happened to look the same, with not different designs, or color differences.

"Aren't they both the same?"

Weiss sighs. "I don't even know why I asked."

Weiss walks away, as Ruby lays her head down, bored, and sad that two of her friends aren't going. Yang sets a giant speaker down, making a big slam onto the floor. She dusts her hands, as she walks towards her sister.

"So, have you picked out a dress yet?"

"What's the point... Who cares about the dance if Blake, and Y/N aren't going?"

"Oh don't worry, Blake's going, but I'm not sure about Y/N." Yang looks to her left, and starts getting angry. "Weiss! I thought we agreed no dollies!"

"If I don't get dollies, you don't get fog machines."

Neptune and Sun walk in, abruptly ending Yang and Weiss's argument.

"Your party is gonna have fog machines?"

Weiss pushes Yang out the way, walking straight towards Neptune.

"We were thinking about it..."

"That's pretty cool."

"You ladies all excited for dress up?"

"Pfft, yeah right."

"Laugh all you want. I'll be turning heads tomorrow night."

"What are you two wearing?"

Sun points at the outfit he's wearing. "Uh, this?"

Neptune puts a hand in front of Sun. "Ignore him, for he knows not what he says."

"Hey, I moved to Mistral, but I grew up in Vacuo. It's not exactly a shirt-and-tie kinda place."

"Yeah, we've noticed."

Sun then rubs the back of his head. "So, uh... what does Blake think of all of this? She still being all, ya know... Blakey?"

"Obviously..."

"Hey, where's Y/N?"

Weiss shrugs. "I don't know, but he cooked all the food for the dance. He put a note next to the kitchen, but he's not here..."

Ruby sighs. "I don't see the point in this dance anymore..."

"Guys. Trust me." Yang then whips her hair. "Blake will be at the dance tomorrow."

Ruby looks down, messing with her fingers.

"Yeah... She'll be here, but not Y/N..."

"Sis, I'm pretty sure Y/N's gonna be here."

Ruby stands up, and walks away, heading to their dorm.

"I hope he does..."

Ruby exits the building, the doors closing behind her, as the other 4 look at each other.

"What's wrong with her?"

Yang sighs. "It's Y/N... He's apparently not coming to the dance."

"Why doesn't he wanna come? He made all the food, but he'd rather spend time alone? Almost everyone's coming!"
