Y/N's eyes fluttered open, his eyes adjusting to his surroundings. The room became clear, as he was sitting in a hospital bed.

Y/N groaned, and looked around. "I've been out for quite a while..."

Y/N tries to get up, but is held down. He looks down to his side, to see Ruby, sleeping.

"Has she been here the whole time?"

"Yup."

"Yes sir."

"Mhm."

"Yeah."

"Yes."

Y/N strokes her hair, causing her to flinch, before relaxing, and resting her head, deeper into his hand.

Y/N lifts her head, before holding her bridal style. He walks out the infirmary, getting shocked faces from doctors and medics all around. He opens a door, and takes a left, leading to the dormitory. He walks towards his teams dorm, before knocking on it.

"Cooming!"

Yang opened the door, and her eyes widen again.

"Y/N!?"

Y/N smiles. "What up yo."

Yang looks at Ruby, who was in Y/N's arms.

"Did she fall asleep?"

Y/N nods. "Mhm..."

"And you carried her all the way here?"

"Mhm..."

Yang smiles. "Well... I've never expected you to be so gentle with people."

Y/N shrugs. "I just don't like waking people up, so I carry them back, especially if they're a girl."

Yang steps to the side. "Well oh gentleman, go ahead an tuck her in like you usually do."

Y/N rolls his eyes. "Some sister you are..."

Yang stepped back, and pulled off a Weiss. "I am offended!" Holding her hand on her chest, while shifting her head back, with a face of disbelief.

Y/N rolls his eyes, as Yang leaves the room, and flies up, setting Ruby in her bed. He tucks her in, turning around, before feeling a tug on his cloak.

"Y/N......"

Y/N turns around, to see Ruby holding the end of his cloak, her eyes, shining with silver.

"What's wrong?"

Tears start to form in her eyes, as she tries to wipe them away.

"I'll go get Yang okay?"

"no..."

Y/N raises his eyebrows. "Why not?"

She doesn't say anything, but just shakes her head.

Y/N flies up, sitting in front of Ruby. He looks at her, as she keeps trying to wipe her tears away. He tilts his head.

"You okay Rubes-"

Ruby then hugs Y/N, sobbing into his shoulder. Y/N, who was caught by surprised, returns the hug, stroking Ruby's hair.

"It's okay..."

They stay like that for a few minutes, until Y/N then breaks from the hug, about to go and lay down in his bed on the floor, until Ruby grabs his arm. He turns around, confused. Ruby, was tugging his arm.

"Ruby. I have to go to sleep!" Y/N whispers.

Ruby shakes her head. "No."

Y/N tilts his head. "Why not? I need sleep."
