Y/N had fallen asleep in Glynda's class, while listening to music. He was dreaming about the magical wonders of food, until he was awaken by none other, than Ruby.

"Gah?! Ruby?" Y/N shakes his head. "Why'd you wake me up?"

Ruby frowns. "You're missing the fight!"

Y/N shrugs, before closing his eyes. "I've seen enough fights in my life, and the only ones I really REALLY enjoy are ones where I'm beating baddies up."

Ruby smirks, and starts slowly look away, while rocking back and forth on her heel, her hands behind her back.

"Well... What if I told you that Pyrrha was beating up Cardin's team?"

Y/N jumps upwards, pulling Ruby with him as he ran to the front, staring at Pyrrha's battle in awe. He turned to Ruby, holding both of her wrists

"Why didn't you tell me?!"

Ruby turns red, before trying to avoid Y/N's gaze, and hide her embarrassment from how close their faces were.

"I-I.. U-uh, didn't k-know?"

Y/N smirks. "But you kinda already told me. So you must be hiding something?" Y/N gives a smug smile. "What is it you're hiding Rubes?"

Ruby pushes Y/N away, completely flustered.

"Stop talking to me like that!"

Y/N smiles. "Talk to you like what? I was just saying what was happening."

Ruby pulls her hood over head, covering her face. Y/N laughs, and ruffles her head.

"i hate you..."

Y/N chuckles. "You know you don't..."

"And that's the match."

Y/N looks over, and frowns, realizing he just missed the whole match.

"Darn, but hah, Cardin got smacked."

Cardin looks up, and groans.

"Lucky shot. Ugh..."

He falls to the floor, ending his stupidity.

"Well done Miss Nikos. You should have no problem qualifying for the tournament."

"Thank you professor."

"Alright, now I know that's a tough act to follow but we have time for one more sparring match. Any volunteers?" Glynda then looks towards Blake. "Miss Belladonna? You've been rather docile for the past few classes, why don't you-"

Y/N zooms right next to Blake. "That's just Blake for you! She's always like that, and sometimes she even-"

Blake smacks Y/N in the head, causing him to fall and clutch his head, making the class laugh, and Glynda sighs. 

Mercury raises his hand. "I'll do it."

Glynda squints. "Mercury is it? Very well. Let's find you an opponent."

"Actually I wanna fight..." Mercury points to Y/N, who was rubbing his head. "Him."

Y/N shakes his head, before looking at everyone, then the pointing Mercury.

Y/N points to himself. "Me?"

Glynda widens her eyes, before shaking her head. "I don't think you should-"

Y/N nods. "It's fine Glynda. I'll gladly fight him."

Y/N turns back to Ruby, and gives her a fistbump.

"Watch and learn kid."

She let's out a little giggle, before shaking her head.

Y/N jumps down, looking around, before smiling.
