Long Road Ahead

Chapter 10- Hi. I like Pie

I wake up with a pair of muscular arms around my waist. I sigh as I try to flip. I look up and Drew is next to me while Karina is snuggled into him and Snow is ontop of Cole. Panda is next to my legs. This is not safe for these animals.

"Hi. I like pie." I say into Cole's ear. "Give me thirty more minutes of sleep and i'll take you to Kelley's Pie shop." He mumbles into my hair. "Really!" I shriek. "Shut up Nova!" Drew growls.

"What are you a dog?" I huff. "Why do you get up so freaking early?" They ask in unison. "That was cool." I admit. "I do because i'm suppose to be out for a run or doing Yoga." I add. "Not on our time." Drew says. They both are talking with their eyes still shut which is pretty freaky.

I admit it's a pain getting up so early but I never can go back to sleep. Unless i'm sick of course then I want to sleep til the next day. Now i'm really craving pie. Stupid pie. I grab my phone and unlock it. My mom must have come in last night because there are pictures of us sleeping.

It's kinda cute.

Right? No because mom broke into my room and took pictures of us. Why did she let them stay in my bed last night? That's strange.

Because she knows you wouldn't do anything with two of your friend in the same bed. My self concious throws in. True, I wouldn't do anything anyways.

"You're something else NovaLynn." Cole murmurs into my neck as I fiddle with my phone. "I'm not tired." I whine. "Fine." He chuckles getting up. I follow in suit and grab some clothes. I quickly change into pair of light washed skinny jeans, a pair of grey converse, yellow tanktop and a leather jacket. I curl my hair and do my makeup.

I walk out and wrap my arms around Cole's waist who is bracing himself on the dresser with his arms and eyes closed. "I'm fine." He says turning around with my arms still around his waist. "How'd ya know I was going to ask that?" I ask tilting my head. "I know you Nova. it's just a headache though." He promises.

"I'm just worried about you." I whisper kissing his temple. "I know but i'm fine." He answers. "Don't ever lie to me." I say pulling away from him. "Nova i'm seriously fine it's just a headache." He snaps at me. "What am I suppose to think when you look like your in so much pain when I came back in." I snap back.

"I'm fine it's the end of that. I don't need you breathing down my neck everytime I get sick." He yells. "Fine. I just won't care." I scream back storming out. I go down the steps running into Drew. "Hey are you okay?" He asks. I sniffle and wrap my arms around him and cry.

I'm not strong enough to fight with someone I love and not cry. I'm weak. I'll always be weak. "It was just a fight." I sigh pulling away and wipe away my tears. "It's nothing." I add. "It didn't sound like just nothing." He chuckles wrapping his arm around my shoulder leading me to the kitchen.

"Did my mom leave before all that?" I ask sitting down. "Yeah she left like way early this morning." Karina replies not removing her eyes from her phone. "She never leaves real early lately." I sigh. "Oh yeah! Here." I smirk handing Drew and Karina a new present.

They open them and hold up the matching flanel shirts. Drew smirks at me and laughs. "If we don't get to see the giraffe's this time you're all dead." I say trying not to laugh.

Which I fail terribly at.

I walk back up the steps to my room where I see Cole gripping the dresser his knuckles turning white. "I thought you were fine." I sigh handing him the box. "I am. it's just a headache Nova." He replies leaning against the dresser pulling me closer to him. "What you think this makes us alright?" I ask.

"I'm sorry it's just i'm under so much stress." He sighs letting me go. "I know and i'm sorry i've been a butt." I smile kissing his cheek. "I hope you know I love you." He smirks. "I know." I smile. "And I love you also." I add.
