I smile at the boy who stands before me. "Eric." I smile wrapping my arms around him. "Nova I can't believe it's you!" He says hugging me back. "When did you move back?" I ask. "Not to long ago actually a couple of months." He says. "I've missed you." I admit."I've missed you also. How are you?" He asks. "I'm great actually. And how are you?" "Good i'm starting collage here soon." He answers. "Really what are you going for?" I ask. "Uh i'm going for medical school." He chuckles scratching the back of his neck. "That's great!" I smirk.
I look through the door past Eric's head and see Ace with some people and it does not look to good. "Uhm i'll be right back." I say. I walk in and here the end of the sentence the taller boy is saying.
"-what kind of name is Ace? Isn't that for a dog?" He snarls. Ace balls up his fist and lets out a frustrated huff. "It's not a dogs name, well it is but it can also be a name for a person." I say. I grip his arm before he can punch the poor sucker.
"What you got your little girlfriend here to fight your battles?" The guy smirks. Ace says nothing as his jaw tightens. "What Acey? Cat gotcha tongue." He smirks. I pull Ace slightly but before we leave I pull back and punch the guy square in the nose.
I scream at the pain in my hand and Ace drags me away from the group of nobodies. "Gosh Nova what were you thinking?" He asks examining my hand. "He was making fun of your name and it made me mad. I'm not your girlfriend." I whine. "No but you didn't have to punch him." He sighs.
"Well I wasn't going to let you and get your face beat in." I reply wincing at the pain. "And he called you Acey. That's my nickname for you." I add. He just laughs at me. I smile.
"Oh crap." I say remembering Eric. I walk back out to the back deck and notice he's no longer there. I sigh and head back in. "Hey pretty mamma." Someone slurs in my ear. I look back and see Garrison. "Are you drinking?" I ask. "Loosen up Nova have a drink." He replies.
I groan. "Come on big guy we have to go." "But I don't wanna." He whines. "Stop being a baby and come on." I say pulling him by his wrist. This isn't good for us if there are pictures of the boys drinking under age.
I lead him out to the car and make him get in taking his keys. As soon as his head touch the head rest he's out. He mumbles something before I close the door and lock it. One thing is for sure that boy can't get out of the car drunk.
I find the other two boys playing beer pong in the livingroom. "Guys we have to go." I shout over the music. They ignore me so I grab the bag of ping pong balls and spill them all over the table and into the drinks.
"Aw nova you're no fun." Ace slurs. How is he already drunk after an hour? I grab them by the wrist and lead them out to the car. Garrison is still asleep and I put the two boys into the car. "You've got a handful." I hear. I turn around and see Eric.
"Oh yeah that's my band." I laugh nervously. "Oh yeah Stargazers is it?" He asks. "Yeah that's our band name." I reply. "Nova I think i'm going to be sick." Ace cries out. "Not in the car." I say. "I really have to go." I sigh.
I take a pen out and scribble my number onto his hand and he smiles. "Bye Nova." He says. "Bye." I smile climbing into the drivers seat.
"You guys have made parties junk on my list." I laugh looking at each boy. "I don't feel good." Garrison says. "I know and we'll be home soon." I sigh.
As I pull out I have to avoid hitting any of the drunk people leaving or running around. I laugh at one guy acting like a chicken. I shouldn't laugh but you have got to admit it's funny.
My mom left to go out of town again so I decide to take the guys back to my house so they can detoxicate and not get into a heap of touble. When I pull in they are all lightly snoring.
