I sit in class starring at the ink that permently stains my wrist. In a way this was the first commitment that Cole and I made together. I smile at the thought of Him.
"Mrs. Prescott is there a reason you are smiling that you shall share with the class." Mrs. Horton asks. "Uh-n-o ma'am." I stammer. "Then pay attention." she says walking away. "Nice tattoo." Emmi says from beside me.
I cringe at her tone and look over at her. "It was stupid. Cole and I did this that day we went to my grandparents farm." I say. She smiles. "Cute idea. Is that the day you saw your dad?" She asks. "Yeah." I say flatly. "Sorry." She says turning her attention back to the teacher.
After another twenty minutes of notes and lessons we get the last ten minutes to ourselves. "So why did you two get the tattoos?" Emmi asks. "Because unicorns do what other unicorns do." I reply. I try not to smile but it's hard when Emmi is falling out of her seat laughing.
"Mrs. Prescott, Emmi you may leave early due to that." Mrs. Horton hisses. We both walk out laughing amd head to our lockers. "Why didn't she call you by your last name." I frown. "She looooves me." Emmi coes. I roll my eyes at her and stop next to her locker.
She opens it and grabs her books for her next class. "Did Mrs. Horton kick you two out of class again?" Drew asks stopping next to me. "No we just left on our own. I was like bye Hoes!" Emmi sarcastically remarks. Drew glares at her before planking a smile on his lips.
"Yes she kicked us out. We were laughing. It's not our fault something was that funny." I defend. "But you said the funny thing." Emmi says. "Fine it was this unicorns fault!" I cry out. "unicorn?" Drew snickers. I kick him in the knee and he cries out in pain.
"Good enough for you." Hunter says rounding the corner. "Hunter!" I screech. What can I say he hasn't been to school in weeks. I run up and hug him colliding to the ground with him. "Mother biscuits that hurt." He says rubbing his elbow.
I lay flat on my back laughing so hard my sides begin to hurt. "Is she okay?" Emmi asks Drew. "Mentally no. Physically I don't know." He smirks. "Hey! I'm right here you ninny!" I yell. Hunter stands up and helps me up. "And for your information I am mentally and physically fine!" I say sticking my tongue out at them.
"Real mature." Hunter says flicking my tongue. "Ewh!" I cry. "You'll be alright homie." Emmi smirks walking towards the cafeteria for lunch. "You're a jerk!" I laugh shoving Hunter. "And you." I say turning towards Drew. "True." Drew laughs throwing his arm around my shoulder and pulling me closer.
"I hate being best friends with a guy." I laugh wrapping my arm around Drew's waist. "And I hate being friends with a prissy girl." Drew smirks. "Are you coming to the party with Cole and I?" Drew adds asking.
"Yeah I was thinking about it." I say. "Well I hope you come and then you can probably keep Cole sober. Two drinks and he's higher than the clouds." Drew answers. "I don't think you get high off of alcohol?" I laugh. "You can brong your band if you want." Drew says. "No way. They get pretty bad. We went to a college party and it was bad." I reply.
Drew chuckles letting go of me and grabbing a tray. I feel a void and wisp of coolness where it was once warm. I grab a tray of fries and a hamburger and fall into suit with Drew. "Anyways when's your tour begin?" He asks. "End of school I think." I reply paying for my lunch. He shakes his head and pays also.
We both sit down at our table and I grab my water out of my backpack. After a few minutes Cole, Karina, and Hunter joins us. "Where's Emmi?" I ask. "With a boy." Karina Cooes. "Bye the way I was with Blaze again and your dad came in. He's a scary dude." Cole says. "He is." I agree.
