With sunrays hitting her skin and wind blowing her hair to her face, /name/ slowly gets up from her bed, ready to prepare for school.
It wasn't her alarm that woke her up, instead, it was the warm ray of the sun which means she'll get to school earlier than usual.
As soon as she finished getting ready, she stepped out if the house and locked the door, only to be met with a familiar face.
"Hey. Up so early?" Tsukishima starts /name/'s morning with his monotone voice as he walked closer to her.
"Hey, Tsukishima, right?"
"Say, I bet you didn't sleep last night. You look rather bad."
"Well, I did sleep but only for a short period of time." The girl replied with her usual blank expression.
There was an extremely awkward silence between them for a while before Tsukishima decides to speak again.
"You know, my walk to school usually takes around 10 minutes. But with that ridiculously short legs of yours, I think it'd take you 20 minutes." Without noticing, the blonde is taking smaller and slower steps than usual so that the girl could keep up with him.
"That, you're right about. If you're not good with it, you can go ahead. I'm perfectly fine with that."
Again, Tsukishima appears to can't find anything to say. It was like everything that the girl says cause his mind and mouth to be completely blocked.
This time, no one dares to speak as they kept getting closer to their destination. On their way, a convenience store can be seen just a couple of blocks away from the school.
"I'll go drop by the convenience store. You can go on your way." /name/ broke the silent atmosphere, pointing at the store slightly ahead of them.
"I'll go too. I could use a drink." the blonde with her responsed before they went on their way to the store which was empty, considering it's still an early morning
Once in, the two started looking for what they need or want. They were on separate aisles, heading for different things. Tsukishima purchased a juice box whereas /name/ had a rice ball and a cup of hot coffee.
"Are you seriously having your breakfast?" The blonde asked.
"Yeah, I didn't really feel like cooking this morning." She starts tearing open the wrapper of the rice ball with her one hand while the other holds her cup of coffee.
"Well, makes me think you didn't really cook your lunch yesterday. I bet your mom made it for you, little girl."
Not knowing what to say to Tsukishima's suspicion, the girl just kept on walking towards the door of the store while nibbling on her breakfast.
Meanwhile, Tsukishima's smug face slowly started fading into a frown after noticing that /name/ completely ignored him.
On their walk to the school, the girl stayed as far as possible from the guy, him walking ahead of her. But as the distance to the classroom closes, so is the distance between them.
"/last-name/? You walked here together?" Yachi dumbfoundedly asked, her index finger alternately pointing at the two.
"Yeah, we bumped into each other on the way." The questioned girl walks to her seat but her friend was still on her tail.
"Is there something going on between you and Tsukishima?" Yachi leans in and whispers as lightly as ever to /name/'s ear.
"No, no." She denied twice.
