Even though Hinata and Kageyama were taught by the other first years many times, they still failed to get a passing score in their exam. So they won't be able to go with the team to Tokyo. Instead, they'll have Saeko, Ryuunosuke's older sister, to drive them there.
The Karasuno Volleyball Club except Hinata and Kageyama arrived in Tokyo and there, they again met Nekoma, their competitor in a previous practice game.
It was pure chaos between the two teams. There were Nishinoya and Tanaka who mistook a transmission tower for The Skytree and Kuroo who hysterically laughed at them.
After talking for a while, they all headed to the place where the training camp will be held. There were separate rooms for the boys and girls and of course, gyms for the matches.
When all the teams arrived, they started the volleyball matches between different teams. Midgame, Hinata and Kageyama arrived. But unfortunately, at the end of the day, Karasuno hasn't won a single match.

A day or two goes by and still, Karasuno wasn't able to take a win yet. And one night, everyone was practicing and improving their skills either indiviually or with the others, well except Tsukishima.
The members of Karasuno asked him to join them in their practice but the boy rejected. He just walked of the gym.
Tsukishima was about to go to the boys' room and rest when someone came running to him, yelling his name.
"TSUKKI!!" Yamaguchi shouted as he faced the blonde, panting.
"What?"
"You've always been so smart and capable of doing anything. I've always envied you." the green haired boy continued, catching his breath.
"So?"
Accidentally, Y/n overheard their conversation about Yamaguchi looking up to Tsukishima and things.
"But you've been lame lately!" the green haired boy shouted, causing the blonde to be shocked.
Their conversation which turned into a heated arguement went on.
"Hinata will probably be a little giant someday. Why don't you just try and beat him then? You can just prove to him that you are so much more skilled than him! You're tall, you're clever, and you can read the ball so well. Why do you think you're no better than anyone else?" Yamaguchi continued, shocking the blonde with every word that comes out of his mouth.
"Even if I tried my best, so much that I become Karasuno's best player, what's going to happen next? Even if we make it to the Nationals, where do we go next? There are so many who are better than us. Even if we end up doing well..." the blonde took a quick pause.
"We'll never be number one! We'll lose someday! Everyone knows that. But why do they have to work so hard?!" Tsukishima shouted back. At this time, Yamaguchi's face goes dark, as if he was about to explode anytime.
"WHAT ELSE DO WE NEED BESIDES PRIDE?!" Yamaguchi shouted at the top of his lungs, coming at the blonde and grabbing his collar.
The girl who seemed to can't leave was shocked at how the two acted. She never expected to see this side of them.
The clouds moved, exposing the moon that lighted upon the two boys.
"Who knew that this day would come." Tsukishima's voice softens that caused Yamaguchi to release his grasp from the boy's shirt and take a step back.
"What?" Yamaguchi asked.
"When did you become so cool? You are really cool." the blonde said, looking down.
"Tsukki, what's the matter?" the green haired boy asked again, taken aback by the boy's words.
"At least, better than me being absorbed in my worn out thoughts. But I still can't accept it. I'm going to ask someone." Tsukishima said then walked away.
"Tsukki!" Yamaguchi called out but the blonde just continued walking.
On the way to 'someone', Tsukishima saw Y/n behind a room.
"Did you hear it?" he asked.
The girl nodded, saying "Mhm. I'm sorry, I just overheard and I wanted to leave but my feet refused to."
"It's fine. I'm sorry if you had to see that." the blonde said
"No. I was glad that you two talked out together. You know, I think it's really nice to let out your feelings to someone. Don't you feel lighter?"
"Well, I think so."
"That's what I also felt when you first listened to me. It was my first time doing that to someone but for some reason, I think I enjoyed it." Y/n said.
"So, if ever you feel down, I guess you can talk to someone. Like me, or Yamaguchi. Well I-I'm not really good at comforting but I'll listen to you." she continued, looking straight at the boy's hazel eyes.
"I-I'll go. You have to talk to someone right?" the girl was about to leave when the blonde took her wrist and pulled her into a tight hug.
Y/n's eyes widened at Tsukishima's act. Eventually, she lifted her arms, hugging the boy back as she gently caresses his back.
The two stayed like that, Tsukishima with his face buried into the girl's shoulder and Y/n who also has her face buried into the boy's shoulder.
Nothing was heard between the two. All you can feel, see, and hear was the wind's cold breeze, the dim light from the moon, and their heartbeats beating together.
Finally, the blonde let go, still looking at the girl's eyes.
"Thanks, I'll tell you next time, teacup." Tsukishima said with a light smile on his face as he ruffled the girl's hair and walked away.
Y/n just stood there, struggling to take in everything that happened. She lifted her right hand and placed it on her left chest.
'what's this?' she thought, pertaining to the clear and fast sound of her heart beating.
And that night, the two again took another step closer to each other.
