Chapter 36 - Allison

We are flying back to NY. It was a short trip, but I enjoyed every moment in Finland. We got to spend time with our family and also with our friends. Yesterday morning we went with our friends to Sirkka. All of them are so happy to see Zac and I are back together now.

I asked Zac about my mom. Why she cried when I made the Finnish pie, but Zac said she was just too overwhelmed. Well, sometimes mom can be exaggerating things.

The people in Saariselkä are so happy to see us. We went to dad's grocery and everyone who saw me and Zac kept saying "I know you two are meant to be!"

And opposite to the day aunt Adriana married uncle Fred. This time I grinned happily. 

And Zac, I feel the old Zac is back with his chuckle and laugh, his warm expression. He just put his mask on at his office.

"Are you tired?" Zac caresses my cheek. I grin and shake my head "nope, you are my charger. As long as you are near me I don't feel anything else except happiness" I say cheekily.

He chuckles and kisses my nose. "Let's go somewhere on your birthday"

"Ah it's only 2 weeks from today" I didn't realize it.

Zac nods "where do you want to go? I can prepare everything for you" he says softly. I smile and hug him "anywhere as long as it contains you and me"

Zac and I are on the way to Goldreich mansion. Fiona Goldreich asked us to come and have lunch together. Ocean is coming too since she is in New York. Drew has work to do in NY while she has some clients from NY. Dean is still busy filming his new film with Meredith Hall and Christian Hall. Can't wait to see their movie!!

Zac and I were talking and laughing on the way to the mansion when we spotted grandpa Nolan near the poll.

"Zac!"

We both come to him and embrace him.

"Are you going to swim at this weather grandpa?" I ask. The weather is like 50 F.

He chuckles "I'm still healthy but I'm not crazy Alli. I need Zac's help." He points a duck toy in the middle of the pool. "Charlene accidentally threw her fave duck there. Dio is busy in the kitchen helping you grandma."

"You have 2 gardeners, drivers and other staff, grandpa" Zac says in disbelief.

"Come on Zac! You are her favorite uncle!" Nolan chuckles

Zac sighs and looks around "where is the stick skimmer?"

I look around too and spot it in the corner "there Z"

Z walks there while rolling his sleeves. So sexy!!

"Alli, you want to wait for us? You can go inside if you want to. It's freezing here" Nolan says.

I clear my throat (and my mind from drooling over grandpa Nolan's grandson). "Okay, I can help in the kitchen," I say.

Nolan smiles softly at me "you are a good girl, Alli. I'm glad you are back with Zac"

I smile at him "thank you grandpa." I look at my boyfriend. "Z, I'm going to the kitchen"

Z looks at me and nods "okay. Bye baby"

My face flush. I'm not an easy person to blush, but.. every time Zac showed his affection to me in front of everyone I couldn't control the pink or even red in my face.

I wave at Zac and grandpa Nolan. I walk (or maybe skip because I'm just too happy) inside the house. I stop abruptly. Eleanor Goldreich is standing there, like she is waiting for me. And all my good mood drained away.
