Draco paced back and forth in Blaise's room.

Draco had been through quite the adventure to get there. Draco hadn't known the password, nor was he capable of saying anything to the snake on the portrait in his ferret form.

So Draco had been forced to wait for someone else to do it for him, holing up in some closet. Once Draco had gotten in, he had found the door with Blaise's name posted outside. Blaise and Draco used to share a room back when Draco was in Hogwarts, but in his absence it seemed Blaise would be getting his own room. Draco was glad, he had been worried about hiding himself from whoever might have ended up sharing a room with Blaise.

While Blaise did know that Draco was an unregistered animagus, Draco thought that it might be better if Blaise walked in on human Draco instead of ferret Draco. After all, the two would have a lot to talk about, and they couldn't talk if Draco was a ferret.

Finally, after what seemed like forever, the door to Blaise's room opened, and there, in the doorway stood Blaise. His back was turned to Draco, and he seemed to be talking to someone. "Yeah, okay. I'll see ya tommorrow, Nox," Draco heard Blaise say.

"Yep, bye," were heard from the other side of the door. Blaise closed the door with his back still towards Draco. Once the door was closed, he turned around.

Draco guessed that Blaise hadn't been expecting to see Draco in the flesh standing in his room, because when Blaise' eyes landed on Draco, he let out a loud scream. In an instant, Draco transformed back into a ferret, and scurried under the bed. Just as Draco was out of sight, the door to the room bursted open, and a group of about 5 slytherins rushed in, all with their wands pointed outwards.

"What is it Blaise? Whatcha see?" asked a slytherin boy who Draco recognized as Nox Owens. At this point, Blaise, who had been aimlessly staring at the spot Draco had been, looking as if he'd seen a ghost, snapped out of it.

Draco held his breath as he waited for Blaise' answer. "Errr...It was nothing."

"People don't just scream for no reason, Zabini."

"I was mistaken. I did scream for no reason. Go to bed," said Draco's best friend.

At this point all the boys started protesting, trying to get Blaise to give up why he had screamed. Draco cursed slytherin's and their cleverness and ability to tell that something had scared Blaise.

"I just thought I saw someone who isn't alive anymore. It was nothing," lied Blaise. At this, all the faces of the other five boys turned somber. Draco could tell that they had all lost people they cared about, and were trying to live with it.

Nox Owens clapped Blaise on the shoulder, before him and the other four guys, turned around and went out the door. Draco gathered that seeing someone who died was a common occurrence after the war, since the boys had found Blaise's story believable.

"You can come out now, Draco," Blaise said after a moment. Draco hesitated a second before strutting out from under the bed on all fours. Once he was in the center of the room, he morphed back into his human form.

"Hi."

"That's all you have to say to me?" asked Blaise looking furious. "You are sent to fucking Azkaban, and then you escape, and all you have to say for it is 'Hi'? No 'I'm sorry Blaise for making you worried to death when I was sent to the most fucking secure prison in all of fucking wizard history'? No 'I'm sorry Blaise for taking so fucking long to find you after I escaped'? Not even a 'I'm sorry Blaise for being a fucking idiot and not running away before I was apprehended like you told me to!'?"

"I'm sorry Blaise for worrying you to death, for taking so long to find you, and for not taking your advice to go on the run before I was taken for trial," apologized Draco.
